WARNING: You need both MotB, SoZ, and also the newest patch (1.22) installed to use this override hak!
Here I present to you the Races of Faerun Pack v2.3! This project of mine will enable you to play as one of 84 new subraces from all corners of Toril! And as a special treat I've also included all dynamic character models of the Avlis2 Team. So make sure to stop by at their PW and forums and thank Buddha and Clamb/Divaren for making their hard work avaible to us! =]
Now, since our beloved BouncyRock Entertainment worked hard to provide us with such high quality driders, I've included their models into my pack and made them playable!
Further more, it will let you choose from 45 new pantheon deities! Many of the new deity icons are made by kankosthegreat! And to those of you who frowned at the way Atari included the Doomguide of Kelemvor and the Stormlord of Talos PrCs - no reason to frown any longer! I've corrected their descriptions and requirements to be like in PnP. Druids/rangers can also as of yet no longer access Kelemvor as their deity, for he's not and will not be a deity of nature.
Doomguide Issue: - For now the new alignment restriction is not working since I can't figure out how to do it propperly. If someone knows how it's done please let me know.
WINGS/TAIL ISSUE: - It is not possible to let player characters have wings/tails at the character creation. For wings and tails showing on player characters one must first edit them with a editing tool (any 2da or tlk editor should do the trick).
- Simply extract the 7-zip file archive and put the data into your User/My Documents/Neverwinter 2 folder. That's all!
- Note that random bugs will occur if similar files are already within the override folder. So, check the files (if any) in your override folder before installing my pack and it will save you troubles later on!
RELEASE HISTORY: ========================================================================= v2.3 - added the excellent drider models by BouncyRock Entertainment to the pack,
- made the Aberration type avaible with one new subrace (drider female and male),
- added two new outsider subraces (flamebrother salamander, sylph),
- fixed the wild dwarf description since it had not stated the Use Poison feat,
- corrected the size of brownies to count as Tiny rather than Small,
- corrected the size of dragonkin to count as Large rather than Medium,
The previous release of the Races of Faerun Pack (v2.2.1)!
Extract the 7-zip archive -> within the Races of Faerun Pack folder you'll find an override folder & dialog.tlk file -> drag & drop both of them into your User/My Documents/Neverwinter 2 folder -> enjoy NwN2.
I have been having some issues with the dialog files and getting them to work. All of the other files will function, but I am unable to see any descriptions at all.
I will place the dialog folder into "Documents/Neverwinter Nights 2" but no text is visible for any of the added races save the hagspawn for some reason. The dialog IS NOT in the override folder with the rest of the files. I can see it plainly in the NWN2 folder, the game simply does not find it. Any ideas?

This should have been part of the base game. :) Awesome work.
Is anyone else unable to download anything but a .zip file now? All the .7z and .rar files will not download.

I don't know if the author checks this page anymore, but if so, I have a couple of comments/questions.
First of all- excellent race pack! 10/10.
My first question is: Did you ever finish writing a race description for the Half-Celestial? Mine is still a placeholder, and as far as I can tell, it's the latest verison.
Also, I sorted the races (but not the subraces) alphabetically on the selection screen, and updated the racialsubtypes.2da BaseRace entries to reflect that. Second question: Do you know offhand of any other issues that sorting the base races might cause?
Thanks again for breathing new life into one of my favorite games :D
thank you for taking the time to make this, but please add installation instructions for dummies. Something like: "Dum-dum, use old version archive, then put new version archives over old one.Place dialog.tlk in docs/NWN folder, not override." or better.
In this case, everything should go in the override folder, except the tlk file which should be loose in the main directory. _________________________ In production: The Dragon Dynasty All my other stuff
Greetings to you, fellow readers and, of course, to you, revered Races of Faerun Pack creator.
First, I would like to thank Kamigoroshi for braving such a hard topic as races of Faerun. It is no small task and I am glad to see that our author is doing extremely well!
However, there are but a few favors I would like to ask you for.
You see, being a mere mortal, I find it quite hard to figure out what file to put in what folder (certainly, I understand, that there are different types of files which belong to corresponding folders (modules, haks, music, etc-etc). Moreover, since I enjoy playing paladins/clerics/bards most of times, I would love to be a half-celestial creature (much like one of our respected companions in Mask of the Betrayer! Her wings were almost making this one envious), however I have noticed you informing us about the necessity of using some third program in order to "add" wings to our characters.
Please, if there is any way you (or, perhaps some other benefactor) could clarify this riddle for me and those who share my trouble, it would be just awesome!
Thank you in advance and I wish all your further creations to be as successful and exciting as this one! _________________________ It is not hard to find one’s purpose in the world. Liking it, however, is next to impossible.
I followed the instructions to the letter, Drug and dropped each 7zip file except for the dialog into the override folder. Then put the Dialog file where it needed to go. However, when I start to play, the driders don't even show up, quite a few of the races are missing heads, races such as the yaun-ti halfbloods and the Hobgoblin are twisted messes, and quite a few races such as the firenewts and such are simply invisible, with no body or head whatsoever.

Only concern is that I am running into a lot of crashes late in Act II of the OC since installing it. Has anyone else experienced this? If so, any advice?
Otherwise, I think I may re-install and see if that fixes the issue.
I've figured this much out, for whatever reason, the dialogue .tlk is not working for me on my machine. I'm not sure why or how to fix it. It is in the exact directory that it started in when I extracted it.
I downloaded the files and uploaded them to the specified folders, but one of the races had odd colouring problems. When I tried to create a female githyanki the skintone for the body was several shades lighter than the skintone of the head and when I tried to create a male githyanky the skintone of the body would not change to match the head when I clicked on the different options for skintones . O-o I hope it's just my computer throwing a fit.....otherwise, this is a FANTASTIC job!!!! =D _________________________ "Vlaakith CLVII is Tiamat's lackey." - Last words of a drunken githyanki farmer

I must give this masterpiece a 10!!!!
My only suggestion would be for someone to enable an option for githzerai males to have long hair, such as the sort created by Barrel Of Monkeys. While most githzerai men tend to either have a top knot or shaved head, it would not be too far a stretch of the imagination for a githzerai wandering the Material Plane to let it grow out, then cut it as a symbolic gesture once he returned home to Limbo.
Or he could simply use it as a deterrent to avoid speaking to annoying in-laws. O-o

@Omerta the reason you can't see these could be one of two reasons
1) when you combinded the two 2da's you didn't get rid of the access rows that were creatated (as in just copying the rows you needed into the new file) or
2) you didn't copy all of the altered entries into the new 2da. i didn't fully look through all of the choices in the beginning and this got me. entry number (i think) 30 or 40 is when the first mod occurs in the appearance.2da
anyway just got mine to work with K's n i am loving all the races and Prc's :)
hope this helps you and anyone else with the same issue
I'll prob post a combined pack for ppl if I get permission from Kamigoroshi & Kaedrin when Kaedrin's 1.39 update comes out. soo anyway do i have permission Kamigoroshi? _________________________ <xterm> The problem with America is stupidity. I'm voting 9.25 because I don't like the glow to the tiefling eyes, and that sort of ruins it for me. however, everything else is absolutely excellent!
One thing I would love though - Half-Dragons. Or rather, a half-dragon, potentially based on the Yuan-ti Pureblood appearance. I realize that NWN 2 doesn't support templates, so maybe you could include a half-human dragon in the Dragonblood type? I would greatly appreciate it
I know that obviously this was created as a standalone package not to be combined with anything else. However, I tried to combine this with Kaedrin's newest package of PRC's and for some reason I cannot actually see the appearance of the following:
Their names are selectable, I just cannot see their actual appearance. Now, I am actually quite experienced in the process that needs to be done for a proper combination (look at all .tlk & .2da files and ensure nothing's overwritten, etc) and so I've made sure to not overwrite anything. I am obviously either still making a mistake, or there are some errors or missing files on one of the two packages. I write all of this to see if there's anything anyone can do to help me with this issue, I am extremely interested in being able to have the best of both worlds (a large selection of classes and races for NWN2)...
