MERP THE MISSING SCRIPTS - Open this copy of the cep_custom hak with the hak editting tool (Neverwinter > Util folder), remove the cep_custom.2da, save it, change the extension from .hak to .erf and import it into the MERP module.

Yeh I do, but I've not uploaded it yet... nor have I fixed the tileset link... RL is busily kicking me in the head atm and drawn me away from the game we all love... I'll update this all sooner or later, promise

Yes I know about that big mess with MERP.

Thanks for the Scripts will try to get MERP working and see if I can "Rip" lol the rule set out of it.

I wish you did posted the CAP rule system. I am sure you have improve the ORS system with the pass year of work into it.

@Primeval Atom - The 'fix' is not really a fix, but a rewrite. See Olander and I ... we don't like each other very much, but I did and do like some of the concepts he put forth with ORS. The factions, hts, the camping system - he stole and then passed off as his own - the horses, pets and pack animals... All these things are general superlative in theroy, but in ORS, each and every bloody one of them has a chink or a hole large enough to park an army in.
So I took the basic concepts, as presented, and rebuilt the whole shooting match. From the ground and it now resides in the CAP. I will release the ruleset, someday, but not right now.

I put this stuff here, just to get it out there, not as some sort of anything, other than putting it to rest. I really sweated MERP, I saved up some bucks, got myself laid off and worked full time - 18-20 hrs a day on that damned thing. Really worked hard to make it great, to fix the bugs and to take it places no other PW ever went and when we were on the very cusp of greatness... Olander the great frakkin' tard spaz. Then the whole team disintegrated into flames... I left and did not look back and you, Primeval Atom should know this... Those forums you are toting around were once the home of MERP. So I am quite certain, you know all about it.


As to your other concern about the missing scripts... My bad, they were exported into the cep_custom.hak ... I will upload the hak for that MERP build in a few minutes. To import them into the module, remove the cap_custom.2da from the hak, save it and change the extension for .hak to .erf and import. Build, save and reload.

1.69 x3 pc skin.

I reworked the entire 'subrace' system as presented in ORS... Ya know, cuz I had to, to make it work and made some minor changes to the x3_ scripts to attempt to stop the switching. Yet, some how it still occured... So brute force and anger eventually won out.

I do not recall the exact variable Olander used to ID his 'subrace' skins, but find it and add this block of code to your module OnAcquire event-

Of course there are somethings in that block of code you will need to change... Like WORLD_DATABASE()... which is a function I use to identify the NDBE_ database I use to store important PC related info.
And FACTION_SKIN... Like I said, I don't remember what Olander did to ID what skin the PC was supposed to have. But set a persistent String on the PC that is the resref of the skin they are supposed to have and check against that string. I do so OnAcquire and in 'default' and I don't have a problem with the x3 pc skin... Like ever.

No I did not fix ORS. This is the copy Olander gave to me... So there may be stuff in there that was not posted to the vault, but its still ... buggy.

I dunno what Odin is doing.

I have looked at LoME in the toolset and saved it. But in so far as any extra effort to patch it, I'll say no. Upload is pending on time and bandwidth... Uploading anything from my local really kills my server... so it'll have to wait.

And HELLS YEH, I still play NWN.

Did you fix some of the "holes" in the ORS? or are you posting the old ORS v that Olander deleted?

Isn't Odin still hosting MERP or did he got tire of an empty server... HAKs, the death of a PW :_(

LoME was a great server :) did you updated it to Patch 1.69?
