I think it looks like a dwarf hag, but that's just my opinion :).
It's nice and "it" certainly looks like it has been used as a broom (black face)

Wow, the hair and the beard are superb. The wrinkles are great, too. This is the best duergar portrait I've ever seen... but then I haven't seen any other, so... Oh well. It's a good portrait, that's for sure.
P.S. Wu Jen is good too, but pales in comparison with this one. :}

This looks EXACTLY like a weird street guy I met in New York. His name was Blue. The only difference here is that the real Blue has one grey/one black eyebrow and the opposite black/grey in his mustache (giving him a subliminal Yin Yang symbol on his face).
One day diuring a torrential downpour, there was a knock at my door. I thought that's bizarre. When I opened the door, this guy Blue walked right in, and to my kitchen- where he stood motionless peering out my window at the lightning for 45 minutes. Then he left.
He carried a staff, a worn bathrobe looking garment and a bedroll. Those were his only posessions.
He told me many wonderful secrets that he collected in his wandering life. One day he was just gone.
That was over ten years ago, when I was in college. I forgot all about Blue till just now. Its good to see him again.

Did you get that aborigional photo out of a book? Is it altered? Looks good either way. I can see many uses for it as a wise-man or guru or maybe a mage from Rasheman. ^_^
