A male human knight. He could be a paladin or fighter, it doesn't matter. I'm using him as a new paladin character in the original nwn game. (not done any online gaming yet!)It's my first attempt at a nwn portrait. Would welcome some constructive comments. Cheers! :)
This is a compilation of the old system into a single score. There were 4 that made this score of 4.50 then rounded to 5.

Nice armor! Stylish without being form fitting or excessively ornate like a lot of pics. Also like the non-romance novel cover type face. I think I might make a male char to use this with.
I'd say 90% of the portraits are human, elf or half-elf, so pretty much any other race. Also, there is less variety with the female portraits than the male, since everyone wants a runway model as their pic. ^^ So a female gnome or half orc, or some more exotic race maybe, like that female wemic that GyrfalconTheGray did.
There's also problems with classes, since the pics either seem to be full plate or plain clothing.

Thanks for your comments everyone. I'm in total agreement about the lensflares. I think I got caught up in the 'This effect is cool' stuff in Photoshop. I've taken the flares out now and will update later today.
Quick question, what characters/races are under-represented or you'd like to see more of in the nwvault? I'm trying to think of what to do next, but don't really want to just replicate something done to death already.

I have to second the flare comments. Otherwise, very nice style - it isn't "comic book" fantasy but more a real, gritty medieval sort of portrait.

i think this is a great portrait...first attempt or not. I agree with the lensflare comments. instead, try using the "diamond-shaped" gradient with white as your color. put it on its own layer, and make the layer type "overlay". then play with the opacity til its just right. i look forward to more of your stuff..this is a very promising start.

I like the filters. Too many lens flares do detract from it a bit, though.

If you want my advice, don't use so many filters. And don't use lens flare unless there's a really good reason.

I really like this. It has a very "real" look, which I appreciate. The style is nice. I like the scars. The lens flares remind me of Babylon 5 though. ;)
