Well I expected to be behind enemy lines and have to deal with surprises and complicated tactics. However there were no deep characters here and I could see my foes comming at me on a flat plane. Later I got lost in a canyon but only random spawns came at me, with no tactical intellgence for the enemy or ambushes.
Not sure that the goals of the author - or if what they wanted from the design will come from this current setup. My suggestion would be to define a few enemy leaders - who they are, why they do what they do, and typical tactics and then set up posts and guarded perimiters for them that the PC must discover and pass.
With more time personalities and converstations of some depth could be added for spies, other agents, etc. So I see potential here. Good luck. If you decide to deepen this please send me an email - I would play it again.
I am starting a new practice of writing a quick review of every module I download comparing my expectations to the product.
I encourage others to do the same. It really helps authors to feel appreciated, and can actually change the direction of future modules.
