World Of Sanctuary is a NeverWinter Nights PW or Persistent World. It is running 24 hours a day, 7 days a week with constant updates to both the world structure and scripting. It is a rich and vibrant world that you can get lost in and immerse yourself fully into it. Our goal is to give you a world that you can truly loose yourself in and become part of the world itself and not just seeing what the next thing to kill is. We believe that when you play your character that you should be able to be that character, leaving the outside world behind you and just being able to enjoy yourself. Isn't that one of the many reasons for playing on a RP server?

Our module is based on the Diablo II - Lord of Destruction game from Blizzard. This copy of Blizzard's Diablo II contains Act I to V but the story goes on when Act V is finished and Baal is defeated. Our module tells the story from the original Diablo game and behond, after Act V the story continue's in five more Act's. We use players contributions and existing story's that we found on the internet. Ever wonderd how the story's leading to the Diablo III story ? This story begins twenty years later after Baal is defeated and the Sanctuary was saved. We have a story made for u to fill in the gap between the two original games.

World Of Sanctuary is build by Diablo fans for Diablo fans all over the world, to come to gather and have fun, not only our community is playing on the Neverwinter Nights server but we play the real thing also on the battlenet servers from blizzard. So have a look arround and join our community

Update: Added to Hall of Fame!

Done up to act 11..sorc36/pally3/ranger1(monk would be better, you can re-level in act1 in Rogue Inn). Cheap tactics used often, else it would be impossible.
I have to admit that item progression is nice. At start you are squashy and later on you are still squashy :) Act 11 is rather no way to do alone w/o some crazy items.
You have to kill so many bosses to get that was a very interesting journey :P

Woah, so it is full mod indeed. Thumbs up for creator again.

After you "beat" the game (finish act 8)monsters stopped spawning (everywhere)...Making new game with exported character worked fine. To start act 9 you talk to meshif.

This world is huge, so far took me around 3 days. You can also farm runes and do side quests. Some NPC dialogues could be improved, but its fine.

About treasure balance..[up to act 8 so far]
Some items have on hit properties that most bosses are immune to anyway. There is a nice ammount of items for wizard/sorcerer - and those chars are really good, spellswords(melee mages) too. Wizards can buy some books with 5 spells/day to free spell slots for other spells. Sorcerer has access to better armour i'd say.
I made myself alone through acts 1-8 with not many problems (sorcerer[36] with improved still spell III + paladin levels for using shield+good staves)+epic warding=you rarely die in boss fights.
It is really easy to do 5 acts, but later on it needs "ok" gear and magic.
With no damage resist on ranged weapons im guessing that all rangers have to runshoot or die. Also if they dont have wiz/sorc levels, the number of armours to use is low.
Bosses in acts 6+ have AB as high as 90+ and hit merc for 100-200 per hit. No idea how melee char can survive this :) My only guess is bigby(-10ab)+bards song(-1-2ab) and super high ac + epic dodge to tank this (or epic warding and lots of hp?).
If you want to power-game after act 8 , there is a plenty of staves (sorc/wiz only) with most spells(even with epic warding and epic mage armor in act 8 though). I didnt see the one with mordenkainen's disjunction though, only avaible in book in shop act 9.
After you finish act 8, you can see all items from previous acts. Sadly, there are not many items for druids(casters) or clerics, but its probably possible to just be buffer/healer [+ summonner?] of your mercenary and finish the game(you can get really good merc's in act 8).
Unfortunately, late game is rather hard for single player, but some will see that as an advantage.

I hope to play some more and write a comment again soon.

Some info from me, I hope it will save your time.[light spoilers]

Character choice:
- str tanks[HP+dmg resist] are fine
- keep in mind that you prefer to get some bonus weapon damage from skills/spells[like divine fervor(magic), divine might etc], as
in weapons they are usually limited (for example Act 1 maximum +1 magic/cold/fire/... damage on weapon)
- dont make char that counts only on: dev crit, death spells, high crit damage low non crit damage, very short term buffs, smite good
- on the other hand you could count on spells like drown/harm for some part, dev criting mobs makes killing faster of course
- Monk/clc/rogue works fine [9lvl spells, speed, dual kamas, epic dodge]
- Not sure about full wiz/sorc chars - dispelling could be nice for boss fights, also there are some items with lot of bonus spells per day for sorcs mainly
- bard for song+taunt/curse is an option
- paladin/CoT/bard with UMD and good smite damage for boss encounters in party could be great
- i dont recommend too much Pale master or RDD, you will get some crit immunity in the very late game;

- other good mixes could be: bard/x/DD[dwarf,dmg soak with high hp's];bard/cleric/x; druid/monk6/cleric12[one of shifters, not sure if items work when shifted];
monk/bard/cleric[Shooter wisdom based with good spell choice and UMD]; paladin/bard/x[melee, bonus magic, divine, sonic damage +smite, curse great]
- there are many ranged weapons and ammo, so its possible to take ranged-based char
- aim at least for resonable ab (50)

Gameplay overall
- Always have TP scrolls, potions
- if possible, have greater sanctuary, or in earlier game [act1-5] - improved invisibility (to hide, go to town or run to next boss)
- Keep naj's puzzle - try to use Harm on boss'es and heal on self, it should help sometimes
- Remember to take wp scrolls by clicking near wp, else you gotta come back anyway
- Use magic devices is usefull
- Collect some gold for buying scrolls

Act 1
- keep buying pots, scrolls and go on
- focus on dmg soak, get some ab/attacks

Act 2
- can buy some sorc scrolls in town [Improved Invis, Greater Spell mantle, Fingers of death, summons etc]
- death spells can kill you, get fort/will/reflex and/or immunity spells

Act 3
- can buy some cleric scrolls in town
- unless you are sneak-immune, buy scrolls of (greater) restoration
- get mercenary // buff him with Imp. Invis. if you can

Act 4
- beware of Harm
- some other scrolls
- there should drop an item with harm immunity so look around
- mind blink is a must
- beware of death attack (sneaky damage)
- better merc's avaible
- buffed mercenary or none (he will die fast)

- great scrolls to get..up to lvl 9
- some crazy arrows in shop[tho only arrows, no bolts etc]
- ancients are pretty hard [tips: try to separate them from each other, by using g. sanctuary+summons or blindness(sunbeam for example)
[tip2: blindness allows you to sneak attack every hit)
- pre-baal - try to separate if have troubles
- baal - full buffs (anti-fear, spell-resistance, greater spell mantle etc), then you can try cast: mord dispell and then black blade of disaster and wait patiently.

Keep going.

Hmm cant edit previous..despite the comment that its only 2 acts - seems like its full (or nearly? no idea) mod! Proceeding to act3 :)

Actually for me it was best pve playing experience in nwn ever. Huge world, lot of high-power items, lot of fun ! Too bad I cant find neither full mod to play single player nor server to play on :(
Thanks for creator of this mod

Lacking in almost every respect. Poor treasure balance. Bland and generic areas. No music in many of them. Flat characters, with no input and badly written monologues. Unnecessary backtracking to previous areas. No henchmen.Could go on, but I think Savicki put it quite well. This is nothing like Tolitz's astounding Lord of Terror. If only this had been more polished, thorough and developed.

Did not like the idea of having to complete quests before entering new areas. This was not like Tolitz's version.
Steve's Characters - please don't forget to vote on them if you play them.

A great module. Very user-friendly. Also very friendly towards new players

Posted by MetalSimon at 2009-06-12 04:08:50
Quit whining, it clearly states this module only features act I. Some people are just to dumb to just sit down and read the description.
Heeding the call, one and for all. Never surrender, in glory we'll fall. Brothers unite, let's stand up and fight. Fullfilling our faith. We are heeding the call.

To follow up for other folks planning on downloading this single player experience - the comments from folks saying "Acts I to XI, all the quests, extra quests" is false.

It might be true on the PW but you get NONE of that when you download this module. Folks voting TEN are based on the PW experience, not this single player module. My time will be better spent playing a REAL NWN Diablo module.

Posted by MagicReaper at 2009-05-29 04:42:04    Voted 3.00 on 05/29/09
There are other Diablo based modules that are available and are better suited to put your time into. This is just a playable advertisement for a PW and offers nothing close to what Diablo should be. Don't let the perfect 10 votes fool you.

The best mod ever made!! There's side and rune quests, Acts I to XI....
Now, there's Events (promoted by me) everyday!!
Don't waste your time with other servers...
This is the Best!!

I haven't seen the actual PW, which may indeed be fantastic, but this particular mod itself is not particularly good-- very brief and uncomplicated. For single players there are definitely better Diablo mods out there (Lord of Terror in particular).

Great adventure! I've loved this server for quite some time. It's constantly changing, which is the attraction to me! Gratz on a fine job, Henk!

An impressive attempt and much to do but little direction. With the removal of journal entries, it simply is one big hack and slash preview, which Diablo is to begin with but at least it gives you direction and substance. Halfway through, you'll have so many creatures chasing after you, you'll wonder if you're in the lead for a marathon.

What's really bothersome is that folks are commenting about this module as if it's the server itself, which it is not. This is a playable module that you download and it's not that good, which could also give an idea of just what the real server is like.

For a single player module, this misses the mark completely. There are better Diablo modules out for NWN, which I suggest you stick with instead. My vote is already generous.
