Description
Finally! The very last module in the Underdark Blues series. It took me a whole year to finish it, working out every single bug, tweaking every little thing... it's finally done... oh, where was I? Oh yeah. Just a matter of weeks after your descent through the spiral, you find that someone has put your favorite tavern, the cold mug, to the torch. Now there's hell to pay.

The new Underdark Blues part 3 is underway. Hopefully this one will work. I'm doing all the testing and adding the detail. But once I put it up there, that will mark my possible retirement from mod making.

I am terribly sorry I haven't been responding, other than "My computer couldn't run NWN anymore after it got 'fixed'," I have no excuse. My computer is currently under repairs, hopefully I'll get it back soon. When that happens, provided it can successfully operate NWN, I'll get right to work on a brand spanking new Underdark Blues Pt.3.

But from what I hear, NWN 2 is coming out soon, so you probably won't care. But I'll go right ahead and do that anyway. I swear on the Book of Revelation, and if I am lying, may my moniter explode right in my face.

Well it is rather diifcult to comment on this serie. First, it is uncomplete (part 3 is not avaialble at this time). Second you cannot comment or vote the first two episodes. Not being able to vote is fine however I strongly disagree with the "no comment" tag and strongly urge Maximus to change that. If one does not want to allow comment he/she should not be allowed to upload his/her module for the simple reason that we users will not be able to report possible bugs and/or ask for help if we get stuck.

I have only played a little bit of episode one. The level range is odd as the vault page mention lvl 5-10 while the in-game module description mention level 2-9. Next, I checked the second episode who is for level 15-20. In other words in one hour one would gain at least 5 levels. The module itself felt like some parody it was playable and somehow fun despite the critical lack of choices up to the point where my (level 9) character got stuck in a mind flayer bunker. Alone facing 5-6 creatures at a time in melee (range weapons did not work) it was only a matter of time before my char would go down. Oh well.

I don't know why you don't try to communicate with those playing your mods and even disabled comments on two presequels, Whackmiester - nevertheless I want to express my respect concerning this one.
I'm by no way thru yet but I already could see, almost feel, how much work you actually put into Underdark Blues IV. Interiors as well as exteriors are very carefully designed, although the areas I already explored are rather large and full of event triggers causing some heavy work for my three years old comp.
Somewhat surprisingly for a so called hack'n slash mod I also found heaps of "text" in it when visiting the Great Library and reading about 50% of the books presented there... giving me some impressions of your motivations, lectures and thoughts as the author too.
As I see it, not all of this - especially the mythological sources of "races" or "monsters" - is common knowledge in the roleplaying fantasy community. Thus a visit in this library is worthwhile anyway, not to speak of the rewards you grant those who really complete the visit ;-)

Although I just started to venture through this strange and cruel world and probably it's too early, I'd give your mod a provisional vote of 9, hoping that others who have already finished it give it their votes too!

I've downloaded Underdark Blues Part 3 on three different occasions in the past 3 months. It was corrupt all three times. I've downloaded over 1200 modules that weren't corrupt so it wasn't my fault. Why spend all that time making it if you aren't going to let anyone play it? At least my 28th level HoTU survivor can play this module. It's a shame I won't be playing all four with the same character!MikeLM9215

Mekadave, the reason I didn't allow comments on UB3 is because I couldn't handle being flamed. But that was then, this is now, and that's the Zodiac Killer creeping around to your back door.

my post was referring to this module only: Underdark Blues Part 4 -- Wrath of Poon

Hey, just tried downloading your whole series. Part 3 has a corrupt zip file. Tried posting a note there, but you've got comments turned off on the page.

Hmmm... none of your modules seems to have any rathings or posts... strange.
