This module is a revision/expansion of my puzzle-oriented quest adventure that was a Feature Module for the original NWCon. Players gather to penetrate a deadly shrine populated with guardians, traps, and puzzles, on a mission to recover a magical stone for a powerful wizard. This version contains new encounters and puzzles, and has been updated with the new material provided in the SoU and HotU expansions. The HABD bleeding/death system and the DMFI wand package (v1.07) have been implemented. The module is intended for a single session of play (2 1/2-3 1/2 hours), and is best played by a group of 4-7 characters of 3rd level. This game was not designed for solo play and in fact a player running the module without a DM will themselves unable to exit the tavern where the adventure begins. Included in the ZIP is a complete DM's guide to the adventure.

Awesome! I liked the way it could be played in a small number of sessions; felt like a tournament mod.

I want to thank Lazybones for such an excellent module written for both DM's newbie and experienced alike. I remember when I was a player (Astrid Newhand was my character) in Lazybones' run through this module and could remember it fondly as one my first experiences at NWC. The module has changed somewhat dramatically since that time with HoTU additions. I've also noticed some changes in the puzzles, but in my opinion, the quality has never diminished but rather has improved. Since my experience as a player and now as a DM, I highly recommend this module to anyone looking to a terrific multiplayer experience. :)
