Description
The Mage's War - Part One By Robert Walley Welcome to the world of Graelum, namely the nation of Acham. Here you have spent your entire life as another person of normal status. After deciding to adventure on your own, you soon came across hard times and before you knew what was happening, you were on the road by yourself. With no friends to speak of and nothing to your name beyond what you have on your back you have set forth towards the east towards the Elven forest in hopes of finding a stroke of luck. While not lucky, you have stumbled across an abandoned monastery. It's fairly late tonight and the weather has turned against you. You decided to enter the monastery in hopes of finding atleast some shelter. What lies before you is the opening to an epic adventure that you cannot even grasp yet.

You know, posting a module as a classic PnP conversion just to draw interest is bad form. If this really is a classic PnP conversion, what module is it drawn from, please?

eh... which PnP module is this a conversion of?
Couldn't find anything by that name.

Heh, well. v1.07 takes you to the official end of the mod so we know we're closing in on a final version. still, we're getting some feedback occasionally that we're testing and working with so I'd say maybe a half month or so. I'm in a different country right now so it goes a little slower than I would like. Hopefully everyone who's kept up with it this far will try v1.07. Peace

How far away is a final version?

Hey, I just released version 1.06. This one hould have fixed problems with the hench for certain. I found a hidden domination effect from the first draft of the plot that was causing problems in the 'Frontier - A Room at the Inn'. For everyone who got that far only to have the hench stop following you, sorry. I hope everything works well for you now. Thanks.

Heh, sorry about that. I can knock that out today. He's really the only henchman that doesn't like mage's so go figure that you ended up with him. I'll fix it. Have fun.

Going throught this now, on the recommendation of a friend that this is a mage-friendly module. However.....

I picked the Elvish Warrior as a henchman, mainly because I am playing an Elven Sorceress. So far the entire attitude of the NPC is that he hates mages and everything involved with them - as nothing good has ever come of mages and their ilk. And yet he is quite willing to travel/adventure with my character, and doesn't seem to notice SHE is a mage! Kinda jarring on the immersion factor. Not a show-stopper, just jarring ......

This was alright, RW. I sent you an e-mail for the bug report, because you have not listed this as final. Keep them coming. E-mail me when it is final, and I'll play through it again and vote. Thanks for the play.
