I downloaded this and took a quick look at it. Pretty good work. I for one know that this is a large dungeon and am starting to see a few people that are trying to make this. I have completed building level 1-3 to scale. and am working on Skullport and Waterdeep. I am about 70% done iwth the whole thing now. Just need to do the interiors of waterdeep and populate the city.. I have been working on this thing for over a year now. Hopefully I can get it up so people can play in it..

I am also currently making server specific haks for it..

But anyways good job so far man. But ya might want to use the new LOK dungeon tile and the dwarven halls. that is what I am using. and Like I said I am doing it to scale from the maps (box set) both the dungeon areas and the 2 cities..

This is a compilation of the old system into a single score. There were 2 that made this score of 1.00.

I had started building my own module for Undermountain. I have the original box set for Undermountain 1 and 2. I decided to browse around for details on the net and bam found this. As I ran around the Level, I was able to follow along very well with the map. Reading some of the coments, yes there is one section of level one that is cavern. This will save me alot of time, I had 2 areas mapped out already. I will now use this map, and start on the scripting work. Thanks for saving me loads of time.

The one by Testosterone and Boogie can only be played
online, as they stated on their website they aren't
releasing it, but keeping it as their persistent
world...but they're still working on lvl 2, anyway, and
they're currently offline awaiting patch 1.24, so get to
work, Losttrak! Flesh this big bastard out so we can play
it ourselves!:)

Hey,

Is Testosterone and Boogeyman's version available on the
vault? I've been thinking of making the whole thing
myself but the box set is 200 miles from me in storage.
I'd love to play this through.

This map is done well... I give him credit for making it...
however I do not think that making the maps is
the "hardest" part :) try to pupulate one with custome made
monsters

I know my comments are 100% biased but still, He is correct
in a # of area's... there are caves to the south.

someone also said "The whole
level would *not* be a resting area"... that would be
impossible... loginto Ruins of Undermountain the server
sometime and try that... if it is done right - it is
HUGE... right now it takes about 90 hours to go through
level 1 we have... 90 hours with no resting? ouch.

Oh yeah. I never expected an empty dungeon to be much
competition. I posted this module in the spirit of
competition so others could have the hardest part out of
the way. Now there is a model for a LARGE dungeon
adventure just waiting for the details. BTW I did stick to
the map as much as possible. I had to shorten a room/hall
or two and redirected i think.. one room. Otherwise its
all by the book. There is a cavern section but it only
takes up maybe 3.25 areas in a 38 area module. Look hard
enuff and you will find it.

Im also impressed with mod due to size of area he did.
Been part of Testosterone and Boogie Man. Can see were you
did things you way in some area.

biggest thing I notices aidn ITS not a complain just
observation was could have used diff tile sets from area to
area Like one you chose for some of areas

keep up good work.

No bad but Ruins of Undermountain Mod being developed by
Testosterone and Boogie Man is superior. This is not a
bash on your work Losttrack, you did a hell of alot of work
to put this bugger together. It's just a matter of the
order of magnitude that Boogie and Testy are putting in
theirs. I have totatally become addicted to the beta mod.

A personal favorite. There *is* caverns on part of level
one. I would start it in the Yawning Portal. The whole
level would *not* be a resting area. I would also populate
it a bit more (they encourage it). As a map however it
appears to be a noble attempt.

Don't mean to sound picky, but the PNP version of
Undermountain did have a cave section in either the first
or second level....it was small and the lair of the rogue
that made it his lair if I remember correctly. Not sure
how it got to be a cave though....but it was there.

The first few levels of Undermountain ARE dungeon, only
around level 5 do you start seeing caverns... then that will
last with the sparse dungeon until you reach the underdark.

Excellent job. This will save some DMs lots of work. One
thing though, it is all dungeon tileset and from the way I
interpret the PnP Undermountain some of it would be cavern
right? This is all dungeon tileset. Other than that, a
great timesaver.
