A simple quest adventure for low-level characters. The PC(s) is hired by the sorceror Elethran Celara to find the lost tomb of Therix, Elethran's ancient ancestor, and recover a mystical amulet. Two secondary quests can be found along the way if you look hard enough. A 1st-level PC will reach 4th level if all quests are completed.

Simply put this is crap.
"A 1st-level PC will reach 4th level if all quests are completed." I would add dying x number of times in the process (deadly traps, large number of creatures will easily dispatch a 1st lvl PC). Anyone trying to create a lvl 1 module should replay the prelude to get a feel of what game balance should be like.
"Two secondary quests can be found along the way if you look hard enough." I only got the missing son. Found a tower but no quest linked to it. Could be a bug though.
Got fairly lucky with all the fights but got killed by trap on chest (22 damages!). If we don't have a rogue or tank around, at least allow the other PC to use a range weapon to force open the chest.
Lster on found the forest with the undead and used the cryptic note but my char could never defeat one or worse two golems. Module deleted.

This mod is a short great complete piece among several decent at best pieces that are only short because they're nothing but betas.
Nicely done Richard. very nicely done.

The Good: Pretty damn good for a first mod. The Whispering Wood was pretty cool and I like how there were a bunch of side "sequences" I guess you could say, like the tower for example was pretty cool. The riddle was pretty clevar although it didn't take long to figure out. Keep up the good work!
The Bad: Hm... one thing I would suggest is that you add more dialogue choices because although there was plenty of text it felt like there was only one way it could happen. Make it more multiple-pathed. Oh also, use map points they make it easier
The Ugly: When I broke down the door to the crypt the priest started casting spells at me which was pretty annoying. Also when I broke down the inn doors upstairs Elethran Celara started to punch me and followed me all the way outside until I was able to talk to him which made him stop. Instead of people attacking you make a +1 or +3 to evil.
Unique Ingenuity: I liked the thing you did with the signposts, it made it very easy to read and it looked neat. Also the day/night thing was pretty cool because you couldn't buy anything at the store. The flameposts lighting up in the Gaol was also helpful. One last thing was that barfight.
All in All: It was a pretty good game, albeit short. Keep up the good work.
My Rating: 9.2

For the role-playing equivalent of a short story in literature, this was a great mod and I had fun playing it. The world around the town was well-defined and areas transitioned smoothly, and effects were employed effectively but modestly as well for a good overall playing experience.
Not that it detracted enormously from the gameplay, but I think if anything could have been improved in this mod, it had to be the map borders. This is purely an asthetic aspect, but I think it would be the finishing touch on a great "short story" mod.
Good work, Richard Price!

This is a short, well done Mod. The story and side-quests are simple, but interesting and leave options for characters of every ilk. I´ve played it with a 1st level rogue and have had a good time with it.
The only thing I didn´t like about it is the design of the wood areas: I felt like walking on a chess-board, because the forest´s shape is simple quadratic without any barriers or some such. There is a little bug with the farmer - he rewarded me for killing the fire beetles although he killed them himself.
