Updated 12/17/03. Classic conversion of A1 Slave Pits. Including Random Encounter Tables. Updated to Hordes to use the Harpy. This module is definitely meant for group play. Sorry all forgot to change the starting point and a couple other things so if you dloaded in the last few days try again

I am having problems downloading your file it always ends up curropt. I really wanted to know how you overcame some of the problems in the mod. If you want to help working on A2 thats cools with me.
ACH! You've posted before I did! I'm almost done mine... I just needed to finish up on the journal and a few scripts. But good for you anyways. I haven't looked at yours yet, not until I get mine posted up, which should be fairly soon. But I'd like to play yours and see how yours plays. I am, too, also planning on converting the "A" series, it's such a fun series!
None of the Spawn points are on the triggers. At least none that I can think of. That must be the random monster script, it spawns pretty close. I followed the random monster tables in the origianl module for chance and numbers. I'll play with the distances on the script. FYI There are random monster scripts for the city/temple and the cave/sewers. They are currently set to a 1 in 6 chance every 4 heartbeats. With a 15 heartbeat delay after a sucessful random monster check..
Sorry about the blank. What I saw wasn't all that much, but I can say that the encounter spawn points should not be on top of the triggers. Nothing is more irritating than having a horde of monster pop up next to you. I could see maybe one or two in a dark alley, but not more than that. I would also suggest making the encounters scaled to the player's or party's level by adding flexiblity to the encounter properties rather than having a fixed number of monsters. You can throw out my suggestion if you want to stay "exact to the text." I look forward to your work on the A series, it was also one of my favorites. Good luck, and the city looks pretty good so far.
I wanted to keep it hak free. Since the ants were coming out fairly soon anyway. They would have worked well though. Aaron

Hope the random monster scripts aren't tooo much for the module. They seem to work pretty well. Some comments; With lack of ants and aspis, I utilized kobolds for the ant-like creatures. Plan on replacing them with the formians when undertide is released. I also want to work on the plot line some more so Please feel free to make any comments suggestions.... Aaron

.... doh! You got there first! I always loved the A series of modules, and now we've got shazzwozzers myconids they should make great mods. Good luck to you...........
