You were meandering along, minding your own business, when you were transported from the realm of Faerun to this .. place. From the get-go, there are many odd things happening, and your job is to find out what they are. Talk to the villagers, talk to the King and his adviser . . . talk to everyone. Maybe you can solve the King's problems.

We have only a few class specific modules and even fewer race specific ones so this could have nicely filled a niche. This module however is terrible.
- you are given free XP and as Jess_ mentioned why not start at a higher level then?
- You need to run around in front of the castle, why?
- you get tons of XP for a trivial fetch quest
- you can even buy levels!!!
- in the forest I found a rakshasa (no joke) and next a construct before facing a mixed group of bears...
I did not continue after that. Huge areas, monster(s) beyond the level of the module, high xp per kill (100% may be). You can even get the King to kill your PC if you pick a wrong dialogue option. And what about that cow in an enclosure with no door?

Which classic PnP game is this a conversion of exactly?
I tried searching for "Halfling Adventures" but no WotC or TSR references were found.

The birdbath says it has given me the key, but in reality it gives me nothing, and I am therefore stuck.

Okay, after receiving a scathing email telling me that mods should be updated or they're stupid, I have updated my mod.. I fixed a few things that I had not caught in the original testing, and I changed some things around.. Y'all give it a shot and let me know what you think.

OK, I, Hackton Hoffker, experimented Rogue (10th), will soon
fly to the rescue of my Queen ! I will keep you in knowledge
of my progress...
(NB: I hate the principle of artificially level up a
character by conversation or so. My great pleasure is to see
my character growing more and more in different adventures...)

It's complete! It's complete! :-)
I uploaded it to my website last night (see the readme
file), and just finished uploading it here, as of 20:34
If you find any bugs, PLEASE LET ME KNOW. I can't fix
them if you don't tell me about them! :-D

And so far it's all my comments, except for the one from
the peanut gallery. Anyway . . .
There's a new version of my module out! Click on the
above link to download it, or go to the readme page and
download it there!
It's about 99% done -- I've got a few bugs that show up
randomly. They will all be posted on the readme page

address listed above and below.

One more update... I think I'm only one or two more
updates from going final!
I've played this darned level so many times I'm getting
tired of it. Can someone run a high-level character
through it real quick and tell me if the Queen appears in

And once again, there's a new level out... See Link for details!

Work with me here... Some things are still in production.
My first guess would be a highly powerful mage teleported
over the mountains.. Perhaps a Wish Spell or something
along those lines . . .
I've had a lot of fun building it; suspend your disbelief
for a bit and see if you have fun playing it.

Honestly, if the queen was kidnapped, and taken beyond the
north gate to the "realm of men" as you call it..and the
gate is locked, how did the kidnappers get by the gate? :)
when the key is split into several pieces?
