After 2 months of hard work, Here for your enjoyment is: The Elven City Tileset. When Bioware released its last expansion (and therefore last official tileset) I decided that the one thing missing was a grand elven citadel tileset. Many of the underdark features were perfect for 'lightening up, retexturing and de-spiking' to make elegant elven structures. This main tileset hak includes: Non-replacing Tileset, Elven-ized Doors, Minimap & edgetiles. There is a beta 'platform city/bridges' feature, also. There is also a seperate post: ElfExtras which includes elven-city loadscreens, a demo module & a special 'greensky' to simulate a distant forest canopy. There is also a small patcher hak that allows you to remove some dome structures on the stairs if you decide you don't like them. Read the read me for more info about the set and extras, how to use the platform features and some known issues.

Many, many thanks to Pogo Mudder, who created the special itp file and did some set file editing. This could not have been done otherwise. He also put up with my verbose emails and offered helpful design suggestions. I hope some of you find this a helpful content addition.

Update1: Fixed Crashing Toolset w/ elven boat, Fixed TileFading problems. Update2: Fixed reflectivity texture ommision (Thank you Na). Lostminds fixed the 3d grass on V08&V09. Fixed the door wokmeshes (I forgot to put them in... and you didn't even notice!) ;) UPDATE 05/03/04 The Reflectivity Bug Should be fixed now FOR REAL. Keep a lookout VERY SOON for an 'Elven City Expansion' hak.

I recently worked on the Silverymoon: Gem of the North PW server and they use this beautifil hak. Since I noticed that no one from that server has paid tribute to LittleBaron & PogoMudder for their work, I figured I'd do it for them. I think this tileset is one of the things that really drew people to that server.

It is visually spectacular. However, there is some hight problems where our placeables fall below the walk mesh and cannot be retrieved. Has anyone experienced this? It is troubling because we have to have that area no-PvP.

I like the way this looks! Only it isn't working properly, or I'm not, somehow. Getting large areas of white untextured models across the buildings. I have both expansions and the CEP (tried with and without CEP- no effect). Can anyone help here? Am I missing a texture pack somewhere along the line? Do I need to put it on a higher setting (it's on 64)? Thanks.

either me or the hak has a small problem - the doors wont work with the Grass/Platform - Tower tile.

i havent downloaded since im only SoU, but unzip anywhere and put the hak file in the hak folder in your nwn directory, read the readme for anything i might have missed

You don't put the rar file anywhere you open it with WinRAR then extract he hak file into you Neverwinter Nights' hak folder. If there is no hak folder make one.

This is gonna make me sound EXSTREAMLY stupid but where do I put the rar file into to get it to work on the Aurora builder I've downlaoded it but have no idea where to put it please help :S

to "change" a .rar file into the proper file type required to use the hak... I suggest downloading WinRar (@ its free to try... but thats all you'll need)then using it to extract that .rar file into the proper folder in your nwn directory. the file will automaticaly change into whatever file type its supposed to be....hak, .erf, or whatever.

Good work. It was a refreshing view. I liked the chance to connect different level platforms via bridges, I liked markets and houses and the elven boat as well. I didn't like the fact I found impossible to close some end of areas with the option wall, and seeing an orrible stair prosecuting in the long distance ( the bug presented at different floor levels)(I was expecting to close the area with a wall and looking at a mountain in the long distance...). Thanks for your work.

can't seem to copy this to my hak folder. keep getting winrar diagnostic message. tried downloading several times and have reinstalled winrar no luck. any ideas? loved the other two moduals and was really looking forward to this one.

Loved your first two moduals, i'm really looking forward to playing this one, but everytime i download and try to copy to my hak folder i get a winRAR Diagnost message and will not copy to my hak folder, i do not have this problem with any of the other downloaded files and i have tried downloading it several times.

Hey Little baron,

I redesigned the area that had the Line of Sight problem to use the bridges instead so it is not affecting our Elves of Evermeet project.

This kind of re texturing project is very useful for us world designers who are trying to create new places in faerun.

Isthat the actual Myscha the sled dog, the designer, or an homage? it would seem a bit... Unreal for the original to be here. (Aurora is the first designer that has managed to distract me from UnrealEd, btw). Anyway, why, exactly, is it illegal to make a pre-HotU tileset?
