This is the second version of the Equine Pak, with modified models, textures and animations based off the DLA (Arcana&Blackmoon) Horse model. Since the Equine Pak v2.0 Full Pak is a larger zip, we also made an Equine Sample pak that is a smaller download, but has only a few different models and a single portrait. The Equine Sample Pak includes one of each: standard horse, pregnant horse, foal, yearling, pony, pony foal, heavy horse, zebra, donkey, quagga, pack horse, pack pony, and it only has a single horse portrait. The Sample Pak has 15 new horses, and the 2 original DLA horses. We made this pak for people with slower modems, or for folks who only need a few horses or want to try it out first. If you like this pak, the Full Pak (also at the Vault) has 65 horse models to chose from.
We made a Demo Module that you can also download from our website. We didn't include it in the pak because we wanted to save space. If you need help installing the hak pak, read the readme file included with the zip. Thanks for downloading, we hope it's useful.

Sadly, it did not. No wyrmlings (quote: BAH! no pets! kill the horses!), no pseudodragons (where's my potion merchant thing?), and several dragons wiped out.
Until they work with Aurora's existing dragon-based species, I don't think i will be trying to introduce them again.
Beatutiful work, I just can't sacrifice the "daily bread" of modules (the dragons and dracolich models) for pack mules. :(

The only issue I came across with the Full Version was that with HotU it replaces some key NWN models (Dracolich, chromatic dragon, and a few other creature appreances) which makes it hard to put it in a working dragonlance-style module :(
Going to try the smaller one here, hope it doesn't do it as well :)
Great work, surprised me to see the horse actually work! (makes a great packmule, i swear!)

This is a compilation of the old system into a single score. There were 4 that made this score of 8.50.

The animations issue is definately something I'd look at if I ever decided to make any large hak file again, though in all honesty this was the first time I editted animations. The DLA horses had extremely odd animations, and I don't doubt that I had some trouble learning from them. Thanks for the heads up, in any case.
Perhaps someone else who has the time would consider altering the animation issue in the future. To be quite honest, animations are my least favorite part about modelling because I can't really seem to nail it no matter how long I look at it. :P

This pack would gain in quality and drop significantly in
file size if the animations were stripped out of each model
and the models were set to use a supermodel of the dla
horse. As it is, each horse includes an identical copy of
the animations resulting in the files being at least twice
as big as they need to be.

Niiice. Thank you very much! The peoples of neverwinter
can finally slaughter all those oxen they'd been using to
get around :)

Hello,
I just want to say thank you for making this sample pak...
I saw your 70 horse version, and by the looks of it, the
quality is just awesome! But alas, I have no need for 70
different horses, since I'm trying to keep my module
hakpak down to a reasonable size. And along comes this
package!!! Awesome!!! Now I just hope I can make them
work! =-)
