Ok, its has been awhile since I did any facelifts, and since I am moving and dont have access to my tileset work, I figured I would spend the day throwing these guys together since I have always despised the default models...
I offer these as is, to do with as you will. I am not going to update these any time soon so if someone builds a better pack with them, you have my full permission to utilize them as you see fit and redistribute.(a thanks my way is always appreciated but not necessary)
thank you.
built off the 4th edition pics/nwn2 design of what a bugbear should look like.
but frankly ANYTHING would probably look better then what these guys used to look like.
*forgot to mention I also did 2 mummy versions that are also now available as an override - *see screenshots*

These are amazing. Always like to see the old stalwarts prettied up. Now we just need to do something about those Hobgoblins... :)

Very nice, a little more variety would make it perfect ;)

Much improved over the originals, even if the teeth don't look very 3D.

The only reason this is not in the Hall of Fame is, sadly, that the people of the Vault are too lazy to vote. _________________________ [...] And the world was created. [...]

I just wanted to say thanks again Worm. The bugbears were just sitting in the toolset never getting used. Not anymore! Well done. Mummies, minatours ( thank you ) and the night hag are fantastic.
Just an idea. Ever think about doing a Villians Lore Hak or override, featuring all major villians from FR with your unique touch? Artemis, Strahd, Jarlaxle, Larloch, and so on. Thought I pass it on. Thanks again. _________________________ Farewell and a long farewell it shall be. Some of us are not destined to meet again.

Ok. Finally i can use bugbears again. For me Bioware models were reasonable, but unfortunately not "on pair" with goblin override. Bioware mummies also are tollerable, but these guys ale really EVIL. Far better than stock models.

Wonderful job. Can't wait to mess with these in the toolset. :)
And I can't WAIT for those Minotaurs! Those looks incredible!!

Excellent work as always LoW :)

Minotaurs! They look fabulous in the teaser. Great job, LoW!
I have to second the wish for a new Marilith; the old CODI model doesn't really cut it these days. The problem is that it is of course a fiendishly complex monster to model, given the number of arms and the serpent torso...

Dang. What a huge improvement on the bugbears. I may just have to start using these guys in my game now. _________________________ World of Aenea (Hall of Fame PW and the origin of all my works)

Any chance you might give the tired looking Marilith a new boob (and arm) job? ... She could probobly use a face-lift too. ;-P

grumble grumble... hobgoblins?? sorry, I have racial identification issues... I meant bugbears... grumble grumble...

I very much like your modifications to the horrible hobgoblin original models... probably the best I have seen to date... but I must say there is something I am not entirely into. It is an issue most modders don't seem to care much about, yet it is somehow... disturbing.
You see, model-wise, creature "a" and creature "b" are exactly the same model, and only the texture changes. When it comes to shaman and chieftain variations, they all bear the same parts of the basic model, but get shuffled and re-texturized.
As I mentioned before, it is not that this is a "flaw" per se, but it certainly reduces the level of realism and original feel of the work. I mean, what are the odds that four different types of bugbear use exactly the very same spiky bracers or boots?
I'm aware such unique approach to each model would require more work, and you may think I'm being too strict and ungrateful, but I just thought it was something worth mentioning,
I also join the multiple voices pleading for new minotaur models, and suggest you go for a darker, bigger and thicker version. Make them look like something out of a nightmare!! See what happened with DLA's Ogre models!! The damn things are big, full of muscles, dirty, and a whole lot scarier than the original cartoonish models!!
As for the mummies... they look different... but I still prefer the ones included in... I believe it is Undead Redux? You know, the ones that are dirty, dark, scary and realistic!! Actually, the grade goes only for the hobgoblin models and textures, seeing as they are the main dish here.

I converted these to non-replacing hak versions for my PW to mix them in with the standard models for variety, although your new models are used as boss types because they just look so much better. Thank you for this excellent work, LoW. Now I can't wait for the minotaurs and hobgoblins! _________________________ Realms Of Destiny PW
