The Eye of the Deep dwells only at great depths within the ocean, floating slowly about, stalking its prey. They are hateful and aggressive creatures, conforming to its land-dwelling cousin, the beholder, as regards to temperament...
The Eye of the Deep is capable of striking with its two claws (2d4) and a rather vicious bite (1d6). It is also capable of casting Hold Monster and Hold Person from each of its eyestalks, while generating a stunning gaze from its large, central eye.
In anticipation of my NWN conversion of another classic PnP module (S3 - Expedition to the Barrier Peaks), I've been working on a few of the S3 denizens. The Eye was an easy hybrid between Polyhedral & Luna_C's giant scorpion and Zarathustra217's beholder, so I thought I'd set him loose in the NWVault... Enjoy!
A fascinating D&D creature that could add quite a bit of spice to any campaign featuring bodies of water. In spite of all the aquatic monsters in the monster manual, I'm disappointed most people do not make use of them.
@theauthor: I'm glad you decided to make an aquatic monster, I must also add that The Eye of the Deep is either related to or is a creature called an Och, which is much like a beholder as well that dwells within aquatic habitats. _________________________ @===============================================@
Vinchenzo made a post here.
Plz check out my entries. I'm currently making a few simple modules, designing 3 special characters, and hope to someday be good this stuff.
This is Vinchenzo, finishing his post with the following advice:
Don't use Latin improperly (Lupis means grey, Rufus is red, Canid is dog, so on.) Furries annoy me with their improper usage of such. And I'm a furry!!! Ugh...
Don't vote for Beta things unless told they are finished, unless posted specifically by the author.
Don't abuse the vote and post function, don't vote for your own/friends stuff just to get a high vote. Don't flame vote either just to be an ass.
There is a voting system for how the points are used, even I forget, but we should follow it (and tattoo it to our forehead, lol)
