These look good ! I like the red-ish gradients theme and the sizes. Might use this and my old eyes definitely thank you.
Two small quibbles - please don't take as criticism as it looks excellent and I know nothing about how one would even go about such a change to the look of the UI - just personal opinion. The font for the conversation in game still looks very pixelated. Is there a smoother one that could be used or is that a result of the scaling? Also, maybe the Inventory and other boxes against the background could be a little less transparent as they are difficult to concentrate on if its a busy background.
There's a fantastic font mod you can find here - https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2293813175 , I use it myself, no idea how he figured it out to make it.
About transparency - my mod is already 10% less transparent than default, but I can easily make it even less, tell me how much less transparent would you like.
Thanks for the heads up on the font. I'll have a look. At present I'm using Yeneko's redesigned UI. With regard to transparency, I'm thinking about pic 12 above where it's against a very busy background. Personally, I'd like at least another 10% but that's just me. I'd like it box with a hint of background rather than background imposing on what I'm looking at. However, others might be quite happy with it.
Added "(Optional) Less Transparency" file.
Thanks !
Great work on this, it looks amazing!
Holy molly this is the best UI overhaul in the vault!
Looks great!
I just tested this out in game and ... wow! Had to come back to say what an amazing improvement this is to an old UI. Excellent work!
DUDES !
It's a fantastic mod !
It's a major improvement, nwn1 looks like more than nwn2 now !
I am a total noob in Nwn1. Are there others majors mods you would recommand to play nwn1 in multiplayer?
hi. great mod. unfortunately on android some of the icons for inventory, char sheet, menu, etc.,, don't change for me. rest, spellbook and attack nearest work okay, and i can't figure out why the others don't. do you think it's a simple filename issue? i located for example ir_inventory.tga, maybe the mobile version requires a different filename for inventory. can u take a quick peek at the mobile version and see if u can locate what the issue is? thanks in advance!
Question - Where are the pb_but_xxx files for inventory, journal, map, save, menu/options, char sheet?
pnl_party_bar.tga
that doesn't make sense to me though. the pub_but_rest, pb_but_spell, pb_but_pvp files are there to manually override the icons. why would the rest be a pnl file? I really don't get it, lol.
That's how UI designer decided to make it I guess, pnl is short for panel, and pb is short for party bar, since pb files are only buttons and not an entire panel, it doesn't have pnl in the name.
but what about the other party bar buttons? those are considered a panel? i think i get it now. bummer, it makes it non workable for Android i believe. Unless I can override the pnl file somehow? I think those need pb buttons, though. thanks for sorting it out for me. appreciate ya, wes.
Sorry can't help you with mobile version, I don't have it, no idea what they did there.
the weird thing is, I downloaded the Baldur's Gate UI and it had pb_but_xxx buttons for all of the buttons except quicksave and chat. For some reason, Reborn UI only has 3 pb_but_xxx files. I just don't understand.
The reason is that there are only three pb_but_xxx files in the official game (for the Windows version, at least). The other buttons must have different texture names.
That's really weird, Proleric. Any idea what those textures are named? I could then rename them to pb_but files to override the icons that way. In the Baldur's Gate UI, it comes with all of the pb_but files as I mentioned, so I assume I could change the name of the other textures to pb_but to override them. Any ideas here would be great, would give me another option other than the BGUI to use for icons. Thanks guys already for the excellent help, appreciate yall!
Oops, double post, sorry!
