Beta version! Be the first on your block to try it!
I am so glad that they are still creating modules. I haven't played your module yet, but I already want to support you in your endeavor! Good luck!
Well met.
The town of Neverwinter wildly celebrates again. Another module release, and from thegeorge no less. One more in the collection. i really like the screens of the boat, and the white domed building. Looks like a large amount of effort has been expended on scenery building. Well done.
Downloaded.

No mayor faults detected.
The verb "to case" is unfamiliar to me in the given context. What does it mean?
"to case the joint" is a slightly old-fashioned expression for reconnaissance prior to some criminal enterprise, such as burglary.
Thanks
Downloaded. I already am looking forward to playing this!
will this work on nwn1 Diamond 1.69?
Sorry, nope.
I'd love to try it out, but unfortunately I keep crashing when I leave the Gullwing Tavern through the main exit. I'm not sure what causes the crash, since other people don't seem to have this issue.
I normally use a userpatch.ini and assumed this to be the cause, but I also tried it without and the crash still occured. It may be CEP-related, since I don't normally use the CEP and it could be that it clashes with files have in the override.
Hmmm...there may be a clue in one of your log files.
If not, try moving everying out of the override folder. No module is guaranteed to work with overrides, regardless of whether it uses CEP 2.x.
Update:
The crash still occurs, even with the overrides removed. Haven't seen a clue in the logs either, but I don't really know what I'm looking for specifically.
I'd open the .mod in the toolset and see if I can find what's causing my problem, but that is a stretch at best. I recall distantly having a similar problem during the 1.69 times. Could it possibly be related to one of graphics settings? If all else fails I'd wait for the final version and see if the crash persists.
Did you start a brand new game after removing those? The last line of the log file would say if and what the error was if it caught it. Ages ago with 1.69 shiny water used to cause crashes but now I'm just guessing.
Yes, still no luck. Also the log files contained no error messages either, so it seems I'm just out of luck. It's odd that it is only mod that is affected, that's why I guess it's somehow related to the CEP. I got the CEP from the Steam Workshop, maybe that's what's causing it.
Every other mod I tried works fine, haven't tried any other mods that require CEP though.
Darn, I was hoping that would work. Maybe try a different CEP 2 module (most of mine are). Unless it's the tileset (castle rural exterior). in which case you could try my hakpack-less Fighter's Challenge II which uses it: https://neverwintervault.org/project/nwn1/module/hhq5-fighters-challenge-ii
I tried it with Fighter's Challenge 1 & 2 earlier, both worked without issues. Even with my userpatch and override enabled. I guess I have no choice but to download CEP manually rather than via Steam workshop, so I can open the mod in the toolset.
Edit: Fighter's Challenge 1 could really use a remaster, it's definitely showing it's age...
Edit 2: Update: I can open the area in the toolset without issues. Having looked briefly over the area, I saw nothing obvious that would cause my crash.
Update 2: It looks like doortypes.2da might be the culprit, as none of thatched houses have their "tileset" doors. Not sure if it's just a bug with CEP 2 or if it's caused by something on my end. Though I tend to use "Castle Exterior, Rural" quite often myself and never seen this before.
Hm, that didn't do much but at least replacing theCEP 265_top.hak with the CEP 271_top.hak allowed me to add doors to the thatched houses. The two areas that cause the crash are Whytelock and Hylock, other areas can apperently be entered. I can safely say that default tno tileset ("Castle Exterior, Rural") doesn't cause issues for me, however I'm unsure whether CEP added or modified tiles to it that could cause my crash.
Ah right - I deleted all the doors from the thatched houses because they were causing problems (according to my log). The area Hylock: Market also uses that tileset, see if that one loads.
It's so weird that it's only these two areas that cause the crash. Other exterior areas work just fine, I even made a small area for testing purposes without issues.
There must be something that both Whytelock and Hylock have in common that causes them to crash my game, I just can't find it. It's also odd that I can load those two areas in the toolset just fine. It's just when I go in-game (either from toolset to test or by starting a game) that they crash during loading.
And strangely enough, nothing shows as wrong in the crash log.

The common thing are the houses (placeables). Have you ever turned on shadows in the toolset while viewing these areas?
Whytelock has no placeable houses.
But a (NWN2-)ship ...
However, it might be worthwhile to check this on an environment, where the fault can be reproduced.
This is gonna drive me crazy since it works for me and mmat and I assume others.
*edit* Something in my install of CEP 2.65 was corrupted and not the module. Sorry for any confusion!
I've tired to download this using three diffrent browsers on two seperate computers and when I try to load the module it tells me the module is corrupted. Using the latest version of EE with CEP 2.65. I can open it with the toolset and get no errors.
I just downloaded it and it still works fine for me. However, I don't have the latest version of EE yet (next on my list) but it should be backward compatible.
You're module is fine man. Sometrhing in my installed 2.65 was jacked up and causing the issue. After I reinstalled CEP module loads just fine. Sorry about any confusion I caused!
Oh *whew*! Now hopefully all the areas load as well.
