Large Public Domain Fancy Mapped Texture Pack

I am not the creator of these textures. All I have done is to try to make them usable for NwN EE (more on this later in the description). Note the files in this package are of absolutely no use to players. In fact they are only of use to custom content creators for texturing their creations with. The original creator of these textures made them fully public domain with this notification in the readme for each of them -

So in the spirit of that I am also making any and all work that I have done on these fully public domain. Do what thou wilt with them.
Right having got that out of the way what is in this package? There are 332 large "fancy mapped" textures (mostly 1k e.g. 1024x1024 pixels - 1.32 gig archived size) in the main library. Upon extraction you will find that each texture has its own folder and these folders are sub-folders of various category folders. In each textures folder of the main library there is a preview .jpg image that the original creator included with each of their textures. The actual textures are a mixture of things with uses that vary from useful to everyone, to really only suitable to D20 Modern (including Sci-Fi). (Not having tested them all) I believe a large number of these are tileable to some degree.

Here is a brief explanation of what each contains -
Buildings consists primarily of exterior wall textures such as various brick and stone. However there is also the tiled roof in the above image and a texture that is useful for solar panels. There is also a distressed reinforced concrete texture as well.
Floors contain textures that are normally found on the floor inside a building. These are mainly wood and ceramic tiles. Such as various patterns of floor tiles with varying levels of wear and shininess. The wood consists of varying sizes and patterns of planks with various amounts of wear and age.
Ground - All the textures in this section relate to all types of natural ground surface. From bare earth, rippled sand, hardened mud, stream bed rocks for example. There is also one texture that features manicured lawn grass.
Hair - Contains textures for various hair colours, wool and fur (including spotted).
Manufactured - This is further sub-divided into
Fabric - There's the red dimpled leather as found on a classic chaise longe, 3 camouflage nets, 2 cargo strapping/net, 3 modern carpets, tightly woven coarse fabric and loosely woven hessian.
Fencing - 6 varieties of metal and/or plastic fencing.
Metal - Everything in here is (you guessed it) metal plates. There is patterned metal suitable for use on walls and/or floors. There are also plain metal plates that could serve as the basis for armour (and different to those in the armour package).
Plastic - Bubble wrap and a blue lattice that I've no idea what it is.
Small - Chains, machining waste, gears, tacks, nails, nuts and screws.
Mixed - Various waste products (plastic, ceramic, sawmill chippings, charcoal), various nuts and beans and various pharmaceuticals (pills).
Roads - Cobbles, concrete and tarmac. The tarmac is in various stages of decay.
Rock - What it says. Various rock textures including cooling lava.
Treasure - crystals, gems, gold coins and gold bars.
Trees/Bark - A variety of different tree barks.
OK so what did I do to get them NwN EE ready? For a start I created a materials file (*.mtr) for each texture. In a large amount of cases I also had to split map-files that each contained contained 2 separate maps into separate map-files. There were also a number of individual files that were either the wrong size or in the wrong mode (or in a single instance had additional graphics data embedded when it shouldn't) or both that I corrected. While for a single texture this is not onerous, it did take a bit of time given the number of textures dealt with. Why did I do it? Well I hoped this would make it easier for content creators to adopt "fancy mapped" textures in the now and in the future. So please enjoy (or not - your choice).
