Large Public Domain Library of Placeables

 

I am not the creator of the models and (the vast majority of) textures in this library (yughues is). All I have done is to make them usable for NwN EE (more on this later in the description). Note the files in this package are of absolutely no use to players. In fact, they are only of use to module builders and custom content creators looking for something to base their next creation on. The original creator of these models and associated textures made them fully public domain with this notification in the readme for each of them -

 

 

So, in the spirit of that I am also making any and all work that I have done on these as fully public domain. Do what thou wilt with them.

 

Right having got that out of the way what is in this package? There are 262 placeables new (as far as I know anyway) to NwN. Thematically the models can be split into suitable for D20 modern (149 placeables) and suitable for all settings (113 placeables). The D20 models consist of many different types of thing including various containers, money, office hardware and 4 different bombs. It also includes a 34-piece modular building system using placeables. On the other hand, the suitable for all settings placeables are mainly plants and rocks but there are also crates with separate lids, a couple of barrels, a sealed coffin and a sealed chest. In all but one case I have left the textures untouched (I added a roughness map to 5 models). The hak may seem a bit large at around 1.4 gigabytes, but that is because the vast majority of these placeables utilise PBR (aka fancy) maps. See the readme for more details. In a nutshell, that is what is in the hak. FWIW I have spent over 3 weeks (on and off) on this.

 

So, what's in the actual download? Obviously the hak. But also, there are 3 erfs for the blueprints (all, just D20, just the rest), a text file with the 2da lines, a simple demo/catalogue module that shows all the placeables in the package and the readme pdf file (actually called "Read this first.pdf" - essential reading to get the best out of this).
