WARNING
Project Q is NOT compatible with the current 8193.16 Stable version of NWN EE. Nor will this package be updated to be so.
The EE Development Team added a lot of content to the core assets that need to be stripped from Project Q and all the Q 2da files need to be updated/merged with the 8193.15 2da files. These activities would render any future versions of Project Q developed along this branch incompatible with previous versions.
The last confirmed stable release this project was compatible with is 8193.13.
NEWS
The final update for Q has been uploaded as a Patch containing hak files, the tlk, and documentation. Feel free to strip it, burn it, whatever.
Want to use Project Q with the Community Patch (CPP)? I've uploaded an optional hak with instructions - qv3_QforCPP.7z
CURRENT STABLE RELEASE is Q v3.1!
Both Builders and Players should use the CURRENT STABLE RELEASE. This content has been tested with NWN:EE Current Stable Build v74.8186 and NWN:EE Development Build v74.8186. Both modules and call scripts were compiled under NWN:EE v74.8186.
Files tagged as "CORE" are required for both Builders and Players.
Files tagged as "BUILDER" are not required, but only of real use to Module or PW Builders.

Unfortunately, there is something wrong with qv3_core.7z. 7-Zip - says it cannot be opened :(

CORE download is fixed - it actually downloads an archive you can use now :D

It seems there is an issue/bug with the custom resting system for divine casters, the one that says you need a holy/unholy symbol in order to regain spells.
It doesn’t seem to work, the item is correctly given to the PC in inventory but on rest it always says in the chat box: "You do not have a holy symbol! You will not regain spells!" and of course you PC doesn’t regain spells.
I looked within the rest script “q_playerrest” and seems to be in order, tags are correct, conditions also ok…
Rest system works fine for wizard, which ckecks for the spellbook on rest.
Can anyone else verify this?

Yes, the Discord Server is closed as is my association with that branch of the "Community" thanks to the efforts of a small group of elitest snobs of dubious capability who derive pleasure from demeaning other members. Since Project Q is an "outdated pile of shit that no longer has a place in NWN," I have decided to disassociate myself from the Discord "Community" which has no apparent appreciation for the people who have selflessly given so much to them over the years - The CTP Team, CEP, CPP, Project Q, etc. etc.
Wait, what? That's completely ridiculous and in no way reflects how we feel about Q and any other projects here! We've known your work and that of other teams for years. I'm sorry to hear this has happened, but remember your contributions have always been greatly appreciated, my friend. Whether you keep working or not on NWN or Q or anything else, you are always welcome here.
Were that those words were true, Jedijax, but as far as the Discord Vault "Community" goes, they ring pretty hollow to my ears. I have been ridiculed, told to "go find another game to $%&^ up," repeatedly told I have "no clue" or to "get a clue," sworn at, told I "owe the Community something," and endlessly berated by some people for not finding every little error in a nearly 7 GB project. At this point, I'm done. I'm just going to build things for my own pleasure and not worry about what anyone thinks I owe them, cause I owe this "Community" absolutely NOTHING.
That said, I have uploaded v3.1 which contains the LIMITED number of fixes I was able to track down - with the help a few other people - in my LIMITED time.

I quit NWN for TWO years (2016 - 2018), when i being extremely attacked on my own server after years and years of hard work for my players. But after a long time I gave NWN a chance because i love this game.

I'm not going anywhere. I'm just done with Project Q and the Discord Vault "Community." I should clarify that I have NO issue with you folks on the TRUE Vault Community. THIS (and to some extent the Beamdog Community) are the Heart and Soul of the game and I will gladly continue to help folks out HERE and on the Beamdog Forums. So, if you're stuck on something with Q, let me know and I'll see if I can get you unstuck. However, I'm not going to be adding anymore content or fixing anymore stuff directly related to it.
I don't use Q. I tried, but it just too big and bloated for me to bother. Therefore, I've moved on and its ridiculous for me to continue supporting it. If someone else want to, by all means feel free. If you want, export all the haks into a folder repository and let people cherry pick what they want. Add it all to CEP. Whatever, it belongs to THIS community now.

In my case I've been away from NWN for 11 years. First I went to NWN2 and then Shards Online (now Legends of Aria) to try to build my PW.
A month ago I returned to NWN, and asking old folks aboud how is it going here, they advised me to get NWN:EE + NWNX:EE + Project Q (my last PW was using CEP).
And that's what I did. And I can tell you I'm glad I did. Still fighting and customizing some scripts and 2da files, but it's a great work you have given us.

This is so sad. I switched to Q from CEP last year, and was really looking forward to build NWN modules again using custom content which has a quality level that surpasses the CEP by far. I want to thank you for the absolutely astounding work you and others did put into this while it was a live project!
However, since it has been declared abandonware I decided it is probably best to go back to CEP.
You have my deepest sympathies, though, pstemarie... I can easily understand why you got fed up, I followed that Discord thread and was quite astonished by the extreme impoliteness some people displayed. But I guess it is a sign of our times, isn't it?
Super bummed to hear, but I'm still gonna use Project Q. I simply like it best.

Silly question I guess, but I need to ask it.
I am having an issue with the ' Crypt ' ( combined ) tileset. Since the last Beamdog update we have been having issues with players logging into area made with this tileset. Opens in Toolset ok.
Some areas are ok but cant find a link between those that crash. We have tested without placeables and monsters in the areas affected and still have a crash issue.
I am only a Builder and not one that knows what happen fully behind the scene re the mod.
Any thoughts?

I was having this issue too. I thought it was with NWNCQ. Ended up reinstalling the game and did a save of the override prior to putting CQ back in. No crash prior, installed CQ and crash. Reverted to b4 CQ, no crash. I am not running project Q on my rig so far this time around.
Might not be Q? Just food for thought.
I don't know what is happening but I not able to experience all the content described, for example, Gunner's Body Rebuild/Retexture is not like in the images, models have the new hands but the body is still the old one, some weapons still use default icons. I don't know if it is working properly.
Well, I found the problem, some mods are to old and required CEP, I loeaded a clean new Mod and I can see the new content in action.

I play on an older NWN server and was looking for ways to update it and I found your Project Q stuff.
It look's amazing and the amount of high quality work is top notch.
I read the comments about the reason you stopped working on it and am sorry to hear that. Those sounds like ungrateful and unappreciative people.
I don't know anything about skinning/re-skinning models or setting up haks but after looking at your work I've become inspired to look into trying.

In general, a PW can use open content if it makes its own custom content available for other builders to make derived works.
If it's not open in that sense, it's not entitled to use open content from the Vault without explicit permission from the author. If it does, the author can require them to take it down (though that rarely happens).
For individual projects, authors can clarify their intentions under Permission Detail.

The comment on project Q seems to state that it's not open unless the project is open and project Q seems to have stopped. Does that mean it's not open for public use then?
It means you can use it as long as YOUR project is open as well. If you use Project Q in a module or PW and then decide no one can use the custom content of said project, then you can't use Project Q either.
