NWN2 Client Extension
The Client Extension is an add-on to the standard NWN2 game client that fixes various crash bugs, restores the Internet Server Browser for multiplayer listings, and adds new multiplayer functionality to the game (for example, a better reply function, command history, and a host of other improvements).

There are also significant improvements to the capabilities of the DM client included (compatible with DMFI, although not dependent on DMFI). For example, you can teleport objects to specific points in other areas without jumping to the area first, and (with some server script support) you can view creatures on the map in a different area than you're currnetly in.
A brand new, "headless" standalone DM client for NWN2 is also included that allows PW admins to log on to the server without launching the full game DM client.
You can now also create a shortcut to directly connect to a PW from the desktop with the +connect argument supported by the included NWLauncher.exe (see the included readme file for details).

Zelknolf's NWN2 Server Monitor can be used as a front-end to launch the game to connect to any server if the NWN2 Client Extension is installed.

For several times when starting neverwinter the game couldnt finish the loading, it got stuck, this happened a few times, most of it in fort locke, saves here:

I deleted nwn2 client and used the stardard .exe and the problem was solved.
MAYBe someone can help me out whenever i try to run nwn2 it starts up then minimizes and no matter how many times i click back into the game it automatically minimizes, basically everything is normal on startup, goes through the motions then gets to the new game menu etc, but constantly minimizes to where i cant click load game or anything because it automatically minimizes again. anyone got any advice for me?
Hey, I don't know if you still play or not , or if you even check back here but try turning off game mode if you are Using windows 10. A lot of people have had ussues with the minimizing problem in windows 10/11 and turning off game mode helps sometimes. Good luck!
Skywing, I dont know if you check back here or not now and then but I'm giving this a vote! 9/10 because It works great but for some odd reason now and then some modules and chamgains will not start ( missing hak message) when using the extension. If i start the modules effected ( and camagins) up without it running they start. I make a save and then exit , restarting the extension and more often than not everything works fine. I'm using the GOG version.
That said...I love being able to click on my map to travel around areas! Thank you for your hard work!
When I try to download the latest file Windows says it's a potential security risk. This has never happened before when I've downloaded any file. This is why I dare not to download this. Why is it considered a risk to download this file? I've tried asking Skywing on Discord but he/she doesn't answer.
Some browsers no longer allow downloads unless the url is https://.
Maybe you could try another browser, or else use the Attachment link, which does work.
The download contains executable files, so, as always in such cases, proceed with caution.

I just came across the CE, I extracted the files into the same folder ander started the game via the Launcher. Sadly it still stutters alot especially in Niewinter. I can see the console working in the background but the stutters during movement or combat still exists
Try to install hdlinstall.reg too. The launcher and all files should be in the main NWN2 folder (not documents). Also makes sure all drivers for video cards are updated also everything else too like CPU chips and so on. My most favourite program for all in one driver updates is called drivereasy you can google it. After that you should not get any glitchy movements. If you still, back up you mods and save games and do a clean re-install and thenapply NWN2 client extension.
