After I posted by custom adventure Elolan some people requested that I post a guide for versions of these classes for the book game. All these classes were tweaked to be introduced in a video game atmosphere which is very different from their original game book versions. This article is a guide on how to adopt these new base classes (the privateer, the spirit warrior, and the spirit whisperer) into your Dungeons and Dragons 3.5 game setting.
This guide will include these three new classes and all custom spells and feats that have been added to the game to bring these classes to life within your campaigns and adventures. Some of these spells, feats and abilities can be adopted by other classes, but for the most part they are meant to enable and define the abilities of these classes.
The versions of these classes, feats and abilities introduced in the video game versions of these classes differ in many ways from the text versions. This is because these classes were altered to fit into the way the game’s engine runs. These text versions in this document are the way these classes were intended to be played in the book version of the game. These versions interpret how these classes would work if they were real people in a real word, rather than a simple video-game set of physical conditions. They are specific in ways that a real world would apply or based on situations where rules had to established. Anything not written will be left to the game master for interpretation.
Update 3.23.21 = Updated some DC values to make more sense, had to update one of the spiritual practices as someone informaed me I had the wrong name, and clarified some sentenses for readability.
Update 4.2.21 = I was requested to make a rule about spirit whisperers who bond with opposite spirits. I also altered the spirit whisperer class for playability. After testing 3 all the way to 20th level it appears that they should be granted their command abilites slightly earlier to stay compatable with other player classes. They now receive their abiliy to produce minor, major and master commands, 1-level earlier each and will eventually gain access to a 3rd master command.
Update 4.5.21 = Had to add one more master command for whisperer of nature affinity. There was too much repeat of the same effects. Also adjusted the verbage of a few feats whish auto-spell inserted some unintended words.
