This is a DEMO version of The Indanthrine Prince for NWN2. It is in early stages still and what you see is quite far from the finished article, but enough, we feel, to give a small taster of the story to follow and the types of changes and improvements we have in store.
There may be (in fact, there are) small details and polishings to certain features missing, but feel free to point out anything that seems glaringly wrong. As always, we welcome constructive feedback - we want the game to be fun, afterall.
For followers of the NWN1 IP module, this module will be a re-make of the original, with considerable expansion upon the story, some restructuring of the story telling and other cool new stuff that our first experience with making single player/team mods has given us. We intend to then continue the series by making the follow-up two modules in the story.
There is about 2-3 hours of content, depending on how you choose to play. There are no additional files needed to play the DEMO version; our MERP custom rules will be included in the actual release.
Enjoy. If you wish to follow the series more closely, we have a facebook group called MERP UK.

Thanks for the downloads, the project is reaching about halfway completion.
Downloading now, 2 - 3 hours will suit me just nicely at the moment. What level can I expect to be at the end ?
PJ
You can expect to be level 4-5 by the end. As stated, it is just a demo of an in-development project. Focuses on the events at the start of the story...much more to come :)
Thanks, I made a start.
I can see a chest that lights up in an unwalkable area, will I get to it later? I am also trying to find the man outside the mine and I can't. The mine itself is locked, will that change?
I have not tried too hard to do this quest yet so I may be jumping the gun with my quesyions. I will likely have another go at it tonight.
BTW I ahve not net a single hobbit yet ... is that right :D
PJ
Hm, if you are seeing the chest in the exterior area, it shouldnt be there. Disregard :P
For the quest in the mine, you will need to speak to a guy called Grainger in order to be let in. He is definitely out there somewhere.
Id love to get hobbits in and we may do later in the series. Due to its location, fitting them into the setting is a bit diffcult to work out. I'm sure i'll come up with something :P
Thanks for the reply I will be back into this tonight I hope. I did see grainger but stopped playing just after the cutscene.
Out of interest did you do the scene in another part of the main area or as a separate area? Think I might pop into the toolset and see :)
PJ
Heh, that was my first attempt at a cutscene in NWN2. It is run in the same area the triggering player is in. Made many more since...will be popping back to smarten it up :)
It was good,
I've played as far as i can and come to a stop. The door from the town hall does not link to anywhere, is that the end.
Also Crsipin only has a placeholder in his convo slot ?
The cutscene run very slowly for me. I read normal fast and each line is on the screen for a loooong time.
It's good though, the story develops well I just wonder if it's over.
Also I only found one beef stew, where are the others? I think i did everything else.
PJ
Yeah that's the demo done :)
The cutscenes are being looked at to boost the detail. The delay is top of my list as it is too long. I thought the delay setting in the toolset was in seconds but clearly it isn't :P
Crispin carries very limited dialogue in the demo. This will expand greatly in the full game.
Glad you liked it. The full game is well underway and should be available soon.
Okay then, I fouind this to be a good intro. there was a quest I could not solve and I might go back and do that at some point.
A .."the end screen would add some polilsh to it" also I missed not having staffs and slings. That's not a big deal though.
Otherwise good fun, where's the rest :)
PJ
Thanks for giving it a try! The completed mod should be available in a few months. Can't give a precise date, but definitely this year! Really depends on how we get on with testing and resolving issues that arise.
Quick update; We are still going strong and the end is almost in sight.
As mod files for NWN2 are so stupendously large, we will be putting out a beta for people to play so we can ensure that the final item is not carrying major probems and we don't end up going back and forth with lots of updates.
