VERSION 1.5
UPDATE NOTES: Traveller is compatible with the 1.20 (Storm of Zehir) and above update, but you may suffer serious frame rate drops in one or two areas due to the new "enchanced" NPC AI. If you do, the frame rate should go back to normal while the game is paused. So pause to issue orders and set a destination ect, then unpause it again and so on. But I would recommend you try using Tony K's AI mod. I've tested it and the area in question runs much better. Link. BUT the mod causes enemies to behave in ways I didn't intend when I placed them, in particular you may find it very difficult to defeat the guards in Harcourt manor. If you have trouble try disabling the AI mod until you've got through that bit. I know it's awkward and I'm sorry about that. That is the only bit that is a problem though.
In addition there's a bug that's caused by the toolset corrupting one of the areas (the mountain area), so I can't change or fix anything there (for example the load screen). There is a corpse associated with the Dragon Hunter's quest near the mountain fort which can easily be destroyed by area effect spells. If that happens you can't complete the quest. I'm sorry about that.
As always feedback and bug reports appreciated.
----------------------------------------
Your wanderings bring you to the manor of the honourable Lord Harcourt, north of Waterdeep. You have spent many weeks on the open road and need a rest. Luckily the manor is in need of a captain of the guard and you are offered the position. You decide to accept and stay for a time. Your lodgings are comfortable and your duties non too strenuous.
A bonus, or a problem whichever way you choose to look at it, is that the fetching Lady Delphine, Lord Harcourt's daughter seems to have taken a shine to you.
Let's hope you have the sense not to do anything foolish where the lady is concerned while you are here.
Though she is extremely fetching.
GAME NOTES:
Not recommended for younger gamers due to grownup content.
Requires both Mask of the Betrayer and Storm of Zehir.
Sign posts act as area transitions.
Party chat box used for aesthetic purposes only.
The dungeons are dark. Really dark. You'll finally have a use for your Dark Vision and all those torches and light spells that are totally useless in the commercial games.
Single player, recommended for levels 6-10. It's intended to be very challenging for the equivalent of a sixth level fighter, starting with moderate level gear (on hardcore D&D rules) with the rogue companion (you're going to need a rogue). Since it's sort of a sequel to my previous mod, The Corruption of Kiahoro, I balanced it for the character that I used for that module, with the rogue accompanying them. There are four companions that can join you permanently, and one that will join you temporarily. If you take all companions you will likely find it too easy. It's up to you to decide what level to play at based on your class and how tough you like it. For weaker classes likes bards and rogues I suggest playing at level 8 or 9 or taking all four companions with you. There should also be enough loot to buy all the potions you need for buffing. If you find the battles are too hard a few buffing potions can make all the difference. If you find it too easy don't take as many companions with you. Use your companions and potions to adjust the difficulty to your liking. If you're simply finding it way too hard then play at a higher level.
It's fine if you start the mod with your own gear, as long as you have stuff that's appropriate to your level and won't unbalance the game. If you have a lot of high end stuff you're likely to find it rather boring because most of the loot is low to medium level (mostly +1 with a few +2 items).
I tried hard to balance the loot and gold that's available. I didn't want this mod to make you rich and overpowered with high end stuff. All of the merchants have a limited amount of gold on them and they may not have enough to buy all your loot (although it's not as severe as my previous mod).
This module is a low magic environment, but I hope it's still playable and enjoyable for magic using players. There's a character who sells basic magic supplies so hopefully you will find what you need.
BUGS: I've noticed a couple of bugs that I have no idea how to fix. Sometimes the rogue companion fails to recover her own traps. Sometimes transferring items from one character's inventory to another's by dragging and dropping doesn't work. The journal sometimes doesn't work properly for companions so make sure you're in control of your own character when you check your journal. If NPCs who are former companions continue to follow you despite no longer being in the party just talk to them once and they should stop.
One more thing you should be aware of is the script that strips your items at the beginning deletes containers (such as Bag of Holding). Nothing I can do about that, sorry. You will however get all your other stuff back, so don't freak out.
Thanks to falloutboy, Berliad, Brendan Bellina and many folks on the Bioware NWN2 forum for the use of their scripts, and Aleanne for the female clothing pack.
Specail thanks to all the people who contributed to the beta testing process, especailly Tauschitz, masuli, ThosRTanner, Alabore, resistorman, eb52t, sirchet and Eric Doman (sorry if I forgot anyone). It was an enormous help.

The follow-on to The Corruption of Kiahoro, this HoF entry displays human-male's talents at module design and polish. While not technically a sequel, it's a great next adventure for your character from that mod.
Just replayed this using the character I started in Corruption of Kiahoro. This module has more variety in quests and combat than its predecessor with the exeception of the 'supplies' quest which didn't really fit with the rest of the plot or setting. Focus is once again on combat with some traps and no puzzles. I could have probably done better with more points in social skills as there are a number of conversations that provide extra options for bluffing, diplomacy, etc.
I enjoyed the first mod and am enjoying the second even more so thank you for making these fun mods!
This may sound weird, but does anybody know a cheat code for raw meat? I just need 2 more portions to finish the quest and would appreciate some help.
Several years late, but hey. The code for meat is "meat". I tried it!
Enjoying this one! The atmospherics are great (spooky in the Pit, and my isn't Lady Delphine lovely).
Gotta admit though, I've gotten a bit stuck... Ran around the farmlands a bit, but can't figure out how to get into the manor house. Arrgh!
Enjoyable module!Even a bit better then the one in Kiahoro. What's a bit strange is that if you decline a quest it will still pop up in your journal and you can do it as if you've said yes in the first place.
Nice mod! Better than the "prequel" from my point of view. The fact of being on the road and encountering "brief" adventures makes it really agile and fun to play. Quite a lot of options and "attitude" choices in dialogs, by the way. Well written. Everything worked fine; not a single bug! A great work. By the way: girls in this mod are really horny, aren't they? Or was it for my choices/stats? Oh, well... I can live with that :-)
Played with human swashbuckler lv 6 and felt the module was made with my character in mind. About 14 hours of gameplay, but I'm a slow player.
Very good module with nice combat, interesting NPCs, lots of sidequests, good dialogue and atmosphere! Highly recommended! Somehow the gear stripping script didn't work for me and i am hppy about that xD
I don't know how it happened but I didn't lose a single piece of equipment - however - i did find a lootable chest with copies of my stacked potions in Harcourt's manor.
Great module. Lots of little quests, well designed locations and much better than average writing.
The limitations are well described above- repetative combat (oh god, killing those zombie mobs was dull) and a bit too 'go here, fetch this' but a definate improvement over Corruption of Khiaro.
Just finished playing and I have to say it is one of the best! I usually like to play a wizard but it was too difficult for that so I tried my hand at a level 6 fighter and felt that worked very well with this module. The writing was/is awsome! I wish there was a bit more adult/mature content, for instance when Raggs was kidnapped, she and the others should have had no clothes on at all, but she was the only one of the group of 'stripped' captives that was in undies. One of the Snow Bear warriors said that I should spend some quiet time with her after things were all over, well I tried like heck to get back there once the problem at Fernleaf was finished but the signposts all lost that location. Anyway ... very well done. I recommend it!
I have played this module right after The Corruption of Kiahoro of the same author; their common denominator is what I think is the author's "signature touch": many hefty fights with very low return in both loot and XP.
According to the author, the module should be very challenging for a level 6 fighting type; since that "very" IS meant seriously, hinting at many RL hours spent with re-loading, I have decided to start with a level 7 warrior, and even with one added level, I have still needed three afternoons to come through, and I could only level up once, while in Fernleaf.
Seeing the hordes of enemies thrown at my party, I surely wished I had a Fireball caster on board, but there are no such companions available. Only the PC could be a Wizard or Sorcerer, but only theoretically; practically, the lack of a tank companion forbids this choice, forcing the PC to be the front-liner. However, even with a Fireball caster in the party, the mobs would still stand after his Fireballs were depleted: they are surprisingly tough! Those Zombies had an estimated 80 HP, AND damage reduction! It took one to two minutes of buffed hacking to defeat one, and the reward: 7 hard-earned XP!
Similarly to the first module, this one is not story-based, but a list of individual quests. On the plus side, the quests are now more diverse, with some of them being really interesting. The areas are also more interesting, larger and with more altitude variations.
On the minus side:
I don't know if it's just me having missed some clues that I am in the end phase of the module, or such clues are really missing, but it matters not: I am through, and the journey was really engaging, so thanks again, human_male!
Not too different from the previous. Aside the absurd beginning, where your character leaves himself to be thrown into this pit just for then return and kill everybody, making wondering WHY you couldn't do that immediately at that point, let us say the whole thing works.
Sure, reading the introduction you could think that this module has something to do with be some sort of guard for this dude, instead you are a caravan guard mostly, which explains the title.
I don't know if there is and i didn't find him/her, but a wizard/sorcerer companion would have been useful in a module such this one, but...
I enjoyed the module very much, but i couldn't finish it because of a problem of missing texture on the island of dead. Do you have a solution for me ? ty
I played it last week and everything looked correct to me. Sometimes either the download or the unzipping process can cause file corruption.
What part of the island is being messed up?
You may be able to upload a save game on the forum side for one of the smart people to look at.
Just played this through within a week, looked at every nook and granny, slain every foe - found out no problems or bugs. Different story than authors previous "Corruption of Kiahoro" - but that cute Thief Npc - Halfling girl makes comeback here.
This is hardcore melee fighter's module - and excellent entertainment for that!
I made new character for this one - At the end he was Paladin 7 with 1 Fighter level (taken for the Taunt skill, and Tower Shield use), but really could have just used the pure Fighter, with good gear that he collected at the previous module. At the last stage there were lots of undead enemies though, and my Paladin started to shine there.
Enemies are tough as nails in this module! You actually have to buy & use those potions, and think up some tactics, you can not just waltz in to enemy mob, and expect to win.
Does anybody know if the author made more modules, or continued this series, I did not find any with search?
I really enjoyed this one!
