"Storm of Zehir" is the gift that keeps on giving. To that end, some modders decided, "Hey, why don't we add more dungeons to it." Traps were set, schemes schemed, and marriages ruined by calamitous plans for further adventures.
You, NWVault community, can now play some* of the fruits of this little project.
Includes:
Wow, that's quite a few! The thing is, due to the varied nature of the universe, the level and location variance was nearly perfect. 6 new locations for Samarach and 6 new for the Sword Coast. There's new low level adventures and, yes, even an opponent more powerful than the final boss of SoZ (be ready to die). There's a good amount of content to be played around with, and I, with the support of the NWN2 modding community, hope you enjoy this addition as much as I do.
Note:
All the new dungeons are visible at the start. You do not need to "find" them. This was a conscious decision so that long time players of SoZ would not need to scour the map. This could, possibly, be altered in future additions.
Installation:
Included within the project are individual instructions. Follow them to the letter--it's for your own good, really. However, it ought to be clear enough.
The specific instructions for editing the campaign folder are provided in the download, as they are slightly more complicated.
I cannot stress enough, however, that you BACKUP ANY FILES THAT ARE GOING TO BE OVERWRITTEN. If I could type in capital-capslock, I would. I highly doubt future problems will occur, but being careful is its own reward.
Known Issues:
Waypoints will sometimes not display their mapnotes immediately upon finding one of the new dungeons. Upon re-entering the overland map, however, it should appear.
Journals entries for the new areas are not working. This is due to the transfer from individual projects to the whole. I apologize to the authors who spent time on this subject and for the players who might appreciate their addition. I will try and fix this in an update.
* "Wait a second", you say, a finger now sternly pressed against my face, "What's this business about 'expansion', and why is that pesky *asterisk floating around?"
Both excellent questions. You see, there are future additions that will be added to this pack. There are more adventures forthcoming, and this entry will be updated. Now, as far as an ETA, I'll provide a loving answer I've always wanted to give: "It's done when it's done."
If you'd like to submit a dungeon/area for future inclusion, please add a reply below.

On the old vault this was a Hall of Fame module with a score of 9.72 based on 30 votes. Here are the download totals:
I'm playing the SoZ campaign with this mod and it's great! All the new locations are really fun to explore.
One little buggy thing I noticed - in the Inn of Hidden Tales, in the demon infested rooms are missing textures. Nothing too gamebreaking so far, though.
Recently got whole nwn2 package from gog since this is the only way I could find to get Mysteries of Westgate (really enjoyed it). Downloaded this holiday expansion for SOZ as well as the Nimbre fix and started replaying SOZ.
The first new area I stumbled into was excellent. Great environment and a great fight. Only 1 party member left alive at the end. Good times.
The 2nd I could not overcome and had to retreat and plan to come back later.
A few days later I went back and got the message "module could not load" in a popup box and got kicked out to main menu. Now I can't get into any of the new areas. Keep getting this same message. I tried deleting and recopying all the files relating to this project but the same thing is happening.
Any advice would be welcome. I really want to try all these areas.
I finally solved my problem by going back to a saved game near the beginning of campaign. Blah, lots of gaming, crafting, leveling lost. I learned my lesson not to just keep rotating a few saves over and over.
I was wondering if anyone who has played through this has advice about the end of the "underground temple" area. I got to the end and have tried every combination of actions I can think of to get the cup but I can't get it. I have dropped the cape, dropped cash, had party members drink from the poison cups, nothing. Someone probably posted about this on the old site but I guess that content is lost.
Any advice?
Same problem here. I went through that location last night and I know I've solved it in the past. One thing I'm sure is different on this playthrough is that I have no lawful good or dwarven characters in my party. Either or both might be the problem.
Hello.
I have been trying to get this to work with my nwn2 for a long time now and I am just not able to get it working.
I follow the instructions to the letter but it just doesn't work.
In the modules there will be a module named soz_mod and if I start that I will start underground in a dungeon, exiting it will make me start on the sword coast with no story.
If I start Soz it is just the normal campagin and nothing new gets added.
I am running on windows 10 if that matters at all.
Any help would be greatly appreciated :)
I have that installed and IIRC you don't see anyting "new" until you hit the first added location SE of the shipwreck site around level 6. I think it is called 'Sun Dappled Den' but I could be mis-remembering. Have you checked that out?
Hi.
I have installed the expansion for my new playthrough and while I can see the first new area on my overland map (Coiled Cabal Outpost) the game freezes whenever I try to enter it. The first progress bar (unpacking module or something along theese lines) finishes, then the second appears (area loaded) and the game freezes when it reaches ~50%. I am unable to alt+tab out of the game and the only solution is a task manager which shows nwn2.exe as not responding.
I've tried clearing my override folder and it didn't help.
OS is Win 8.1 x64.
If anyone had a similar problem and found a solution for it, I'd aprreciate the help.
This is a solid effort by the NWN2 community, for which I have recently posted installation instructions & two-part walkthrough. I hope they can help some ppl out.
There are indeed quite a few bugs and oversights present in the content (which I'm recording on my blog), but this is still worth it and I enjoyed most of the content that I played through.
Is there a way to play these dungeons outside the storm of zehir campaign? because i hate it, i never finished it and never want to play it again.
