You wake up at home in the village of Marintree slightly the worst for wear after a night of partying with the local dryads. A contest is being held in the village to select people to join the Order of the Moon as your sister Serene did a couple of years ago. Events unfold and what starts as a hunt for Serene turns into revenge....
A story driven module set on an island that is controlled by an order of monks for single players starting at level 4/5, any class suitable, although casters should give themselves some constitution bonus unless they want to become addicted to healing potions. However resting is allowed just about everywhere ( if it isn't there's a reason ) so plenty of time to recharge....
Alignment doesn't matter as this is about revenge so good or evil, lawful or chaotic is not an issue, it's the result that counts. However , playing as a paladin is not advisable as in one area it would be impossible for a paladin to continue and not spend the rest of his/her life in some temple repenting for severely breaking the law....
You will have two companions a monk and a rogue (one male, one female) they are both absolutely vital to the story and both are romanceable, however this happens quite fast so be nice / flatter them early on if you want it to happen (will start upstairs in the halfling tavern if you've been charming enough). Talk to them both as they have quite a lot to say for themselves, if you have no questions to ask try again later.
To make sense I recommend being no more than 30 years old, human, half elf or elf (however some armour will not fit female elves) and please do not play as one of the vertically challenged races (dwarf, halfling or gnome), you will see why and it could ruin the game for you. Half Orcs and Genasi etc would also leave your mother with a lot of explaining to do and look ridiculous....!
In a lot of places there is no going back (there'll be a lot of people after you) so make use of merchants whenever they are available.
There is no crafting but there should be enough magic items to keep you happy and I hope I have catered for all weapon types too .
Conversation skills are not necessary and I would recommend combat and casting skills (inc. use magic items) and a few sneaky ones for good measure, survival and tracking can be useful too.
With regards to roleplay there are choices but only when it matters so not every conversation has a list of replies to scroll through , this is basically a story and you are the hero/heroine so just go with the flow and try to roleplay yourself into the character not the other way around. By all means kill or help who you want but you will not influence the outcome dramatically...
ISSUES
I have never used the toolset before I started this so your characters journey is mine too, you'll notice the journal gets used a lot at the beginning ( only way I knew how to keep a track on progress) and areas improve with time . One issue I know of and could never fix is that your characters will jump back in two/three places and try to talk , keep going where you were headed and it will clear. This is caused by a conversation waiting to work but you have not reached that point in the plot yet, it will start later and then never again will you jump in that place . I never could get this to work properly !
CREDITS
This story would never have been possible without a lot of help and support from the NWN community on the Bioware web site. I have no background in computers and have never used the toolset before this, but through the selflessness of a lot of people it finally got done...

LOADING INSTRUCTIONS
Download all three parts ( I split it up so each wouldn't take so long to download )
Unzip the three folders..
Part 1
Parts 2 and 3 are just modules, unzip them and put them all in your modules folder ..
VERY IMPORTANT
Move the files in your override out to another file they have been causing big problems with a certain pixie ! Some work some don't if you want to use them I'm afraid it's trial and error...
WARNING!
By starting this campaign you are accepting the conditions that your character will be shot at, stabbed, punched, fireballed and possibly killed many times .......
I HOPE YOU ENJOY IT....!
There are a lot of comments on this so I've included a FAQ in case you get stuck/confused it saves reading the whole lot.
** It appears that the big bad boss has matured and is getting harder to kill ! If you have this problem and just want to get on with the story here's a console command that will give him a massive and fatal heart attack rs ga_death("erontuko",-1) Don't worry it serves him right ! **

On the old Vault, this was a Hall of Fame award winning module with a score of 9.35 out of a possible 10, based on 127 votes. Here are the total downloads:
dwarf door fix does not work for me so I'm stuck. Too bad. Seemed like a nice mod.
Got it. Well this is a long mod but it's completly linear and very combat oriented. There is never a way to avoid a fight, you always have to fight almost everyone you meet. It got a bit tedious in the end. The mod is a little like a movie, you can't really affect much. There is usually only one line of dialoge to choose. It's still well done and a lot of work went into this one. But I have still not finished it and I am uncertain if I ever will. The story is not bad just very linear.
So if you are not into very heavy hack n' slash i would avoid this one. If you enjoy that stuff then this is probably the perfect mod for you.
8/10
I am a great fan of Tsongo's modules because they are exactly my cup of tea. Sometimes I think they are more visual novels with combat than true RPG games but the story, the charachters and the writing are so good that I can't help being hooked on them just like when you are reading a book which is so good that you cannot stop reading it no matter what happens around you. And the difference here is that YOU are inside that book and you are living it in person. So, if you are like me and you love this kind of games all the modules from this author, Serene, A Fairy Tale and Bad Habits are a must play!
I adore Tsongos work for NWN2.
I gleefully have replace a dammaged NWN2 set of disks, and a reinstalling my favorites. Serene is on that favorites list. I like the work on the story and intersting situations and characters Tsongo uses.
There are things that make you understand the difference between the Lawful/ Chaos and the Good/ Evil.
This is not an anything for young or easily emotionally bruised persons.
Nice, but too plot-driven and without dialog options. It gets a little bit boring towards the end... almost pure H&S. All works fine and well designed.
Fairly good HnS
I'm posting on my own mod that I didn't upload here so can I rate it .
Just to say I'm finally remaking this because it deserves it. So if you're thinking of downloading it then wait a while for the new and improved madness that is coming to a website near you soon....ish.
Wow, some good news here! As with a few other of my favorite NWN2 campaigns I had Andecaya create some full length portraits for me, including more than one version of Karina. Here is the first: https://www.deviantart.com/andecaya/art/Karina-671350797
My other portrait packs are gone as I was Chaotic Evil and no permission to use them, Andecaya called me out on her Sci-fi model I had used for Kim so that started a more productive path.
Greetings ralebeau good to hear from you,
At the moment I'm up to the docks area in module six so five are done and there's about two and a half more to go but the city is definitely going to take quite a while. All the areas are getting a makeover and the docks are an absolute beast !
I'd forgotten a lot of stuff in this campaign and it's been good to play it from the perspective of somebody that doesn't know what they're supposed to do. I play each mod then go back and remake it and play it again with my other two characters who are waiting at the start. I also now get to see it with all the graphics turned up as the laptop I made it on couldn't handle much without slowing down badly.
It's still the same story and characters, I just decided that it needed to be polished and that I owed it that as this is the campaign that taught me how to use a computer to do anything but play games and send emails.
Are you making any more portrait packs or have you been banned by their makers ?
Nice picture of Karina by the way, I see she's wearing her brown outfit that was liberated from the dwarves, that's still there and she's running around in it at the moment in the city.
NEXUS asked me to remove the packs, while I had listed each artist in credits I had failed to obtain any permissions, so I took all the packs down both there and here. I could almost make up a new one with my commissions from Andecaya, did you see that Ashley and Kim are also there in her gallery, plus some of my other favorite women, but with so few new campaigns that need them I can't get motivated. Just sit around replaying my favorite campaigns with what I already have, though there is still plenty of motivation to watch Karina running around in that brown outfit!
I get it that if you use somebody's art without permission then that's wrong but surely whoever it is that's making pictures of NWN2 characters that were created for free wearing outfits that were created for free and then charging people for them is also a bit wrong. I don't mind anybody doing anything for free and making free things from other free things and the world would be a better and more generous place if it ran like that.
If I drew a picture of Mickey Mouse and sold it I'd be in trouble as it's copyrighted but if Mickey Mouse was free and I sold my own style pictures of him it just wouldn't be right and I personally couldn't do it. I found it strange to click on a website picture of a character I created and be told you have no right to access this content. I'm not bothered and wouldn't downoad them anyway it was just weird when I was the person that made them exist and had given them away for nothing. I only saw Kim and Karina and one criticism is that a monk in high heels is not a good fighter and certainly wouldn't be able to move quickly and step lightly like monks do.
I'm back off to the docks now !
The new version is up on this website and finished so please let this version rest in peace now, I can't write in the description as I didn't put it here so this is the warning... Thank you.
The new version can be found here!
