Planescape: The Shaper of Dreams is the first part of a single-player campaign consisting of six chapters. The first three chapters take place near and in Waterdeep, whereas chapters 4-6 will take the player to several other planes of the multiverse, including the Abyss. This first part will keep you entertained for about four to eight hours and offers several side quests. We recommend you begin the game with a female human or half-elven character (level 1). You may also want to take a look at our readme file which features additional information and solutions to the quests if you get stuck somewhere.
In the first chapter we get to know our heroine, her story and the horrible nightmares she has to deal with. In fact, when the player meets her for the first time, she isn't a heroine yet. Therefore, a major part of this chapter is about her everyday life as a lady of the manor near the small city of Holst. The player will help her to find out about her hidden powers and to become a true heroine on her long way to the Abyss. At the end of chapter one - when she has passed her first tests - she will embark on her journey.
As we go along, several companions will join her in the chapters to come. The party will have to survive many adventures on their way which will lead them to Sigil and finally to the Abyss.

Story:
Several years ago, our heroine was captured by a powerful necromancer who subjected her to unspeakable rituals of death magic. Korman, her husband, finally, managed to free her and to have her body and soul restored. However, he had to pay a terrible price. In order to save his wife, Korman had agreed to a pact with a mighty demon prince and he had sworn to serve his new lord in the Abyss for the rest of his life.
After her return from the Realm of Shadows, our heroine has changed as well. She is no longer the person she was before. Whenever she goes to sleep, she is haunted by dreadful nightmares and gradually she begins to understand that something is very wrong with her.
There is a violent contrast between her life as a lady of the manor, where she has to deal with the manor's everyday problems, and the mysterious horrors she has to face in her dreams. Eventually, these changes inside her make her want to change the situation around her as well. She decides to save Korman from his life-long servitude in the Abyss.
Thus, she embarks on a perilous journey through the planes of the multiverse to find her husband and to face her unexpected destiny...

Loved everyone moment of it. Please translate the last two chapters <puppy eyes face >.
I played the first 4 chapters, a shame they didn't translate chapters 5 and 6.
I think files related to part 4 (english version) are missing. Could anyone upload them? Thank you!
Edit: this is a Let's play made by Biglos from chapter 1 to the end of chapter 4:
https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLyDRIMa2BXVTUTe2aVKolap50KWmMAkOc
He was doing a Let's play about the german version (using google translator) in order to finish chapter 5 and 6 too:

Chapter 4 is available from NWN2 Nexus. Please check the Vault Note or Related Projects link to access it ;)
They're gone from Nexus, it says "Error".
You need an account for larger files from the Nexus. I tried downloading it and it worked fine, sometimes Nexus is down or has connection problems.
In the end it was required to turn the option "View Adult contents" on. Now i can download it,thank you.
Good to hear it worked! :)
Any chance of Ch 5 & 6 being translated?
Chapter 5 is done. I'll do Chapter 6 next year.
Cheers
ChuckerIINO
I don't think we'll get any new chapter translated, it has been a couple of years and no news about it. I guess the team was disbanded.
What language is used? Probably WE should do that.
It was translated to English from German. Here's a link to the Nexus page for the German version and this one is the mod forums.
I have been waiting for ages for playing this and at this point I would be happy even with a google translate dialogue version of the dialogues. Which being from German to English I suppose it shouldn't even come out so bad...
Greatest storytelling seen with any NWN2 community campaign, at least equal to MotB in my opinion. Very classic and epic story. Awesome attention to detail.
I agree 100%. Sadly we won't get any new chapter translated : (
I agree 100% that it is a great story, which is why I have dedicated so much time to translating it. I hope you enjoy Chapter 5 now that it is finished.
C
Shame it's not concluded in english. Something in the pace and the missions of the firsts chapters seems a little bit out of place for a person who is determined to go to Hell, but fun. Some lines not translated, but it's a minor flaw. Bug: you can get 2 swords of your husband''s family with the dwarf forger in chapter 4 (one implemented, the other not). One gets the impression that story could have been greater with such a premise... but I didn't play part 5 nor 6. The author states that all classes are OK, but I'm not comfortable with that... but it's just my op.
Hi GB
I just finishedtranslating Chapter 5 (it's available on the vault at the link in the comments below).
Having played through this now many times, I agree with you on class. The fights in Chapter 1 are pretty tough, especially since you don't have any companions yet. You also need rogue skills through at least chapter 3. A squishy level 1 caster will never get through them, and a pure rogue will struggle too. In the later chapters you have no pure arcane casters or proper healers as companions. I found a good compromise was Eldritch Knight, going fighter for early levels, then added sorcerer at level 3 (works well with Jared as the companion), taking Able Learner and pumping Open Lock and Move Silently, while giving Erir max UMD. A fighter/rogue combo, or swashbuckler (which didn't exit when this module first came out) work well (good if you take Sabra). Cleric or Favored Soul would also be good, and story appropriate.
You find the new translated chapter 4 (translated from Chuck) here on the Vault.
Chuck also plans to translate the fifth chapter!
Any chance of seeing new packs with the fixes/documents made with 7zip? Perhaps including chapter 4 here.
Seems an interesting module, too bad the forcing to play a specific sex and race.
Hello All
I recently finished translating Chapter 5. It as well as Chapter 4 are available here on the vault:

I waited for years to be able to continue the game after chapter 4 and was delighted when I heard about the translated chapter 5. Is there a walkthrough for chaper 5?
I lhave to give up after only playing for a short time. I ran into a problem and without a walkthrough I can't figure out my next move. I'm stuck in the camp, have the oil soaked clothes, but can't find the key even though I pick-pocked everybody with a name, and nothing works in terms of making a distraction to get the guards away from the door.
I would greatly appreciate some help!
Karen
I just finally finished chapter 5 and am eagrely awaiting an English version of the last chapter!
I have been doing the "Sick Mare" quest (Chapter 1) but I cannot seem to get Uncle Lauren to give me the recipe. I have chatted with him multiple times but it is the same dialog. Anyone else run across this? Is it a bug?
Did you exit the tower, talked to the foreman, and then went back to him? Maybe you need to rest before talking again (I played that long ago, but I don't remember this being bugged).
Now that chapter 5 is translated, I'll have another go at this campaign, and give a comment (I'm not sure I went past chapter 3 last time)
Great story so far (I've just started chapter 4): the heroine decides by herself why she goes adventuring without her mentor or any higher power convincing her it's her task, that's nice to believe your own free will does exist for a change! Although she can take her time with side quests, the story is well-paced (there are some detours, but they're necessary: basically "nothing's free in this world, help me first and I'll tell you what you need").
No stars yet (but it'll probably be higher than 8 out of 10), I'll update when I've finished.
There are many overpowered items in the merchants' stores, but the prices are so high they can't be bought, so not a big deal.
And for sure, don't start the campaign with Sabra if you're a warlock (I hired her three times, and always got killed when meeting the first wolf. Then I chose Jared: much easier, he storms into the fight without second thoughts, which gives enough time and space to cast Eldritch blasts and Hideous Blow when the enemy gets closer).
@ChuckerIINo, I found some untranslated texts in module 3:
Gonna review the chapters individually as I go through them, reserving the final vote for chapter 5 (or chapter 6 if translation comes out by then).
I will be playing using the Just Playable Warlock (DS) build from NWN2DB, altered to include some training in Open Lock.
Chapter 1: 6.5 / 10
Man, what a rough start to a series, the pacing is all over the place and it makes little sense why getting a training certificate is the PC's priority. On the other hand, the side quests were nice with the PC managing the affairs of the manor. What would make for a better plot in my opinion would be to have the PC start out trying to continue living her life and managing the manor, but then have her be increasingly overwhelmed with guilt and nightmares to the point where she finally snaps and decides that she must save her husband.
Area designs, both interiors and exteriors, look great in general. The author did a great job at making the mine very dark and oppressive despite only using the vanilla tileset for it. Manging funds is a huge factor to get your character geared up property. Custom music tracks are well chosen and sets the tone of the story appropriately. Surprisingly there is some voice acting for the dream sequences.
Word of warning, there are weird item container cleaning scripts. If the player tries to store items in most containers, items within will be destroyed. This is problematic because there are no party members for the entire Chapter 1. Dropping items directly on the floor is fine though
As for difficulty, the balance is all over the place:
Chapter 2: 8 / 10
As mentioned in the description, this module is quite combat heavy, so a good build and right choice of companion is important! I recommend taking Jared over Sabra any day because he is a very capable Fighter compared to Sabra who is a mediocre Bard. Later on you will also get a Moon Elf Warlock. i highly recommend in installing the companion multiclass mod so that you can multiclass your companions.
Now here the main story definitely picks up and gets interesting. There is an element of decision-making in this module which influences how the story plays out to a small degree. I recommend siding with the rebels rather than the guards because the story requires pissing off the guards anyway to progress. y
At some point in the story, you'll inevitably have to fight a very strong enemy who is also spell-resistant. This is extremely difficult if neither the PC nor the elf companion is good at normal melee and ranged attacks. There's also sections where it offers alternative solutions to combat, but ideally the player should not take them because they don't give any XP while killing the enemies gives a lot of XP and high value loot.
Area design is great as usual, especially a certain village in the game even though it is rather small. You actually get to return the manor to wrap up some stuff before moving on.
Character ended at Level 6 (Rogue 1, Warlock 5)
Chapter 3: 8 / 10
Moving on from Chapter 2, the player will once again get to revisit the Manor to tie up loose ends. If the horse was allowed to recover fully instead of being sold, you can try to sell it now for a better price. After that the PC and her companions will travel to another city for the entire Chapter 3.
Much less combat than Chapter 2, but the few fights the player will get into are quite tough. Here is mostly trying to talk your way through to your goal so social skills like Diplomacy and Charisma come into play. In addition, there's quite a number of interactions with the townsfolk which is nice.
Area design is consistent yet again but the Temple of Selune is notably heavy on performance, likely due to the large amount of placables everywhere and NPC routine scripts. I really like the concept of the tavern and the reason behind it being so unique.
There is an attempt to introduce a custom alchemy system, but I couldn't get it to work since I could not fill any glass vials with "specific" solution, and there was only ever one glass vial anyway.
Character ended at Level 8 (Rogue 1, Warlock 6, Shadowdancer 1)
Spoiler free question: I see that a lot of you are playing this series as a Warlock - is there a story reason for that? Going by the description above, it sounds like her husband is the one who made a pact with a demon, not the PC?
That's exactly why I did it, because I thought it'd be funny this way, the irony of her being a Warlock. Even better if she can eventually use Word of Changing to be a literal Cornugon. I suppose you could headcanon that a benevolent demon or devil took interest in her adventures or whatever.
But to answer your first question, the story does not assume the PC's class, hell I think you can even pick dialogue options that mock deities as a Cleric or Paladin! Her "gift" has nothing to do with demons.
Chapter 4: 7.5 / 10
So finally we arrive in Sigil City of Doors. And of course we immediately get into a fight with really strong enemies while having no buffs since it is directly after a module transition. You also have to immediately pause and level up your new henchman or he's going to die immediately. It is also here where we see Diplomacy being very important. If you accept this new henchman, your initial companion (Jared / Sabra) will complain and threatens to leave, which you can only prevent by having enough Diplomacy, otherwise they will leave and you'll have ot replace him/her with a Half-Orc mercernary located in The Hive.
Speaking of the Hive, wow... this is basically a glorified slum except inhabited by a wide variety of races. The city area is better but overall still feels like a normal mortal city aside from the lack of fortifications. The narrative also claims that the PC can choose to join one of several factions in Sigil, but this never comes into play, because there are only two factions, each of them only has 1-2 quest and they aren't mutually exclusive despite what the NPCs say! I find it disappointing that the author hypes up the Sigil setting but it ends up not being very fleshed out at all.
I must say though I found the main plot line and side quests very interesting, especially the choose-your-door riddle-solving game show, as well as all the unique side activities, well-designed interiors and interacting with creatures from all walks of life.
However, some of these quests will make you temporarily dismiss your companions and that's where I noticed a serious issue in this campaign - companions RESET their build upon being rehired! That means they'll revert to the auto-level scheme, rendering all the planning and feat selection you made for them all pointless! I had to manually re-level them especially the elf warlock because his auto-level scheme is horrendous.
Combat continues to be tough so your companions need to be built right. If like me you do not have a caster that can buff teammates at this point, multiclass your new hench to be a Wizard/Rogue, you really need those buffs.
Character ended at Level 10 (Rogue 1, Warlock 8, Shadowdancer 1)
Hi!
Congrats for the great work! I want to translate slowly this mod to Spanish language. Can anybody send me the original lines to translate?
Thank you!
