PERDITION: A state of final spiritual ruin; loss of the soul; damnation.
What does it mean to experience the final ruin of the soul?
Purgatorio is set in the Planescape universe approximately 20 years after the events of Planescape: Torment.
Many of the places that we visit in Purgatorio have never before been seen in a computer game. We believe that this game is something special.
This is Purgatorio Version 1. It requires both expansions (MoTB and SoZ). There is an earlier DEMO version that is also available and only requires MoTB.

Run a level 10+ character, even though the game asks for level 1.
This game is an unfinished work in progress that essentially contains fifteen mini adventures in it. Many of those adventures are finishable even though the central plot is not. We can promise you a fun and satisfying experience.
Don't wait for the final version, this one has enough meat to satisfy almost anybody. We were careful with the spoilers, so you can play this version and still enjoy the final product.
Rogue Dao Studios is hiring, please contact us at devteam@roguedao.com
A Prime Material prologue demo Version 2 is also available:

The DEMO is our (now outdated) first release of the whole game world. It is being left up because it only requires MoTB to run.
Information about the upcoming version 3 can be found on the RDS forums.

Well, this brings back some nostalgia.
Sadly never completed. This and the Prime Material demo were all that was released.
Wonderful areas with lots of detail. As noted, it's not complete, however:
Nice to walk around in and just explore. A well equipped 10th level PC may not need companions and will gain more XP from combat.
Companions:
Combats were mostly easy, it appears that the developers had not gotten to the point of balancing the entire module. A few combats will be very challenging depending on your party and build.
Social:
There are quite a few checks for social skills and related abilities. Only the PC's skill levels will count for most of these. Conversations indicate one or more companions were to be romance-able although it's not clear how far those stories were intended to go. There are at least two or three brothels and some nudity so there was probably a plan of some sorts.
Several conversation options are only available the first time the PC talks to key NPCs.

Quests: The four major stories I was able to complete were -
In my play-through, retuning from Baator put me directly into the Pyramid quest path. I did not see an opportunity to avoid that although there may have been other variables or checks my PC did not trigger.
While it's true that this is a demo of an incomplete project, there is enough content here to provide several evening of exploration, combat, and adventure. Each major quest took me a full evening to play. You will hit some dead ends and bugs that halt progress along one path but you can just go off and look for other opportunities. It's the very much in the tradition of D&D.
Enjoy!
