Hey man, thanks for this! Nice to see some much needed visual upgrades for NWN2! I particularily dig the caster based effect! Can i make a suggestion for a future simplefix? The vanilla meteor swarm effect looks kinda lame for a 9th level spell. What about giving each meteor a full blown fireball visual while making the crater like effect last longer? Thanks again, i really appreciate your work!
Hmmm... Well it has a full blown fireball. Infact the one it has is much bigger than the one in Fireball spell. Thing is the projectile goes by so fast you can hardly see it. I think I might be able to fix it with a script, but it will take some time...
Thanks for the response! Sure thing, it is just an idea, i am sure you have many of your own to process. IMO, the projectiles are ok and are passable as meteors but the actual explosions look pretty weak, that's why i am suggesting a fireball "BOOM" effect instead.

Wow!!! Compared to the vanilla version this is mind blowing, even without the ground cracking effect. Great work man!! This is supposed to be the 3.5 PnP version, correct? Only 4 meteors. Are you gonna try and convert it to the NWN2 version? (creature 4 meteors, self/location 8? meteors)
That's funny cause the explosion is 100% vanilla XD I just switched the effect from METEOR_SWARM to METEOR_SWARM_LRG :-P
As for the NWN verion, I'm thinking about it... The NWN2 location version is vastly different: each creature gets 4 meteors, but no stacking exlosions - you get hit, you get damaged (ONCE per meteor). Plus you have 8 additional meteors that don't do any damage. Their just visuals. So how do we approach it?
I already have the scripts for 3.5 verion - "location" targets 4 strongest (if there are less, more meteors per target, in order form strongest to weakest; if no targets - random locations are picked), "creature" targets a single creature, and "self" works like location, but makes sure you're outside the blast radius.
How about this: I'll keep this version and make anothe one for explosion enthusiants (same damge and everything, but you get 8 more smaller meteors just for shits and giggles)?

Fuck me, this script is complicated... o.O It's also vastly different than it's supposed to. I'll start with the pure 3.5 version, cause it's way easier. Than I'll take a look at the NWN2 OC version.
I kinda like the original more than the NWN1 version for this spell. Still a neat idea.
