Have you ever wanted to know who created the first Fireball spell? How about which spells your familiar can cast? What material components are used in a typical spell casting? Or, what metamagics work for your spell choices without having to exit the game and look it up on the internet? Well, have I got the mod for you.
This is a first attempt to solve a variety of missteps I felt Neverwinter Nights 2 was always missing. While I am working on the combined mod found in the Required mod listed somewhere on this page (probably below this text), I give full credit to those original creators for their great work. Despite their combined efforts, I always felt that the game's spell descriptions were always...missing something. After seeing what Kaedrin (and others) did to update the spell descriptions, I decided to try my hand at updating the spells.2da and the dialog.tlk files added for the combined mod.
I list this as the 0.75 version, as I have more to do and am sure there are typos I've unfortunately missed, but am happy to continue working on these files to provide a better mod for us all. Feel free to make suggestions, provide harsh criticism, or whatever else you feel I deserve, but please do your best to provide a solution or at least a suggestion on what you want or want different.
My current thoughts run to: fixing any current errors I or the community finds; adding a separate section to the spell description SPECIFIC for cleric Domains (especially for the more recently added cleric domains provided by the combined modders efforts); and, if I am capable, fixing any "broken" or wrongly labeled spells. Specifically, I always felt that the range descriptions were off as well as the TYPE of metamagics that a spell could use (e.g. spells that have no way to BENEFIT from being Empowered or Maximized still have the ability to use these Metamagics, or why a spell that is all about SOUND/Sonic attacks can be cast from a SILENCED character, seems wrong to me).
Instructions For Use!
First, download and incorporate the files from the REQUIRED mod listed (Kaedrin's PrC etc and so forth page should be what you need).
Second, download MY files below (should be just the TWO files...dialog.tlk and a spells.2da file). You need to REMOVE the dialog.tlk file and the spells.2da file provided by Kaedrin's merger-the first found in the "Neverwinter Nights 2" folder found in your "Documents" folder and the second found in the "zzz_KPrC_SFI_TCC_merge" folder found in the "Override" folder that is also found in the "Neverwinter Nights 2" folder (I suggest cutting and pasting them, after relabeling them, somewhere NOT in your Neverwinter Nights 2 folder). My dialog.tlk file should be then placed in the "Neverwinter Nights 2" folder; then, place my spells.2da file in the "zzz_KPrC_SFI_TCC_merge" folder. Load the game and you should see the changes to spells immediately.
ODDLY, scrolls I buy from various mods do not ALWAYS show the change if you examine them in the store. However, once you learn them as a caster, you should be able to open your spell book and see what I have attempted to do with these files.
Lastly, I would greatly appreciate knowing what you all think could make this mod "better". Comment down below and I promise to check periodically, making any changes I feel are an improvement. If you would like spells you have either MADE scripts (NSS and NCS files) for, I would be happy to add them to another version of these files for you. All I need are whatever you would have added to the spells.2da and the dialog.tlk files, a copy of those NSS/NCS files (so I can test that it works) and a bit of time to add them. I have always felt that MORE spell choices are always better than less.
Regards, BM

Some were either there already (provided by the orignal author of the spell) or made up by me. This is where I need your help. Do you have a list of spell descriptors for various spell schools or even the spells themselves? Can you tell me where you can find those descriptors online? If so, let me know so I can update the spells properly.
Same goes for the description of how they cast the spell...All I knew was the Material components in most cases and I just made up what the caster did to evoke the spell.
