Most recent update, 1.8.3: https://github.com/virusman/nwnexplorer/releases/tag/1.8.3
What follows (including the download) is out-of-date but retained for reference:
This is a version of NWN Explorer updated for 1.69 and with other fixes.
For the full changelog, please visit the NWN CCG Wiki at:
http://ccg.dladventures.com/index.php/NWN_Explorer
Previous versions of NWN Explorer can be downloaded from:
http://nwvault.ign.com/Files/other/data/1055545441750.shtml
Please note that Reborn is based on Torlack's NWN Explorer 1.0 source and
not on Roboius' NWN Explorer 1.1 source, as the source to Roboius' was lost.
NWN Explorer Reborn is under active development and the newest version can
usually be downloaded from the Higher Ground website at:
http://dl.hgweb.org/tools/nwnexplorer.exe (2751)
Although there are always bugs and feature requests, I believe this software to be mostly stable. It does need to be run under compatibility mode on Windows Vista.

Invaluable tool for custom content creation. Thanks.
Awesome stff thank you.
Excellent tool!
Excellent for comparing conflicting resources!
My go-to NWN explorer
For an essential tool for custom content it's gotta be a 10.

Even non-builders like me can get some use out of this.
This doesn't yet work with NWNEE? Opening Bif files with it doesn't recognise names and the file cannot detect the installation anyway.
Crashes on Windows 10 when trying to acces the Menus, otherwise everything seems to work. Export and Viewing HAK content.
For EE you have to copy nwn_base.key from the data folder to the game installation root, then open that file with the Open button in NWNExplorer.
EDIT - if you purchased EE direct from Beamdog, the game installation root is 00829 (for the development release). If you have the Steam version, the game installation root is C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Neverwinter Nights.
Virusman made a version which fixes the menu crash and provides better access to EE fields:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/pfgbtu6qpq2pf1r/nwnexplorer-180.zip?dl=0
However, even with that version, you still need to open a copy of the key file explicitly, as explained above.
Thank you!
I updated my comment about EE above to include the Steam version.
Don't know how this is supposed to work, but every time I open the file in IE, it is blank and asks if i want to open or save and when selecting open it brings the same confirmation window over and over, yet never opens the file. I also think there is no clear instructions on it... should I just open it once? Edit something? How does it make NWE work with EE?
@Jedijax - sorry, that was a typo, you open the file using the Open button in nwnexplorer, not IE. Corrected above.
Oh, thank you! Now it makes a lot more sense! But, since the hak and override folders are now located in the user documents, how are we supposed to access them through NWNExplorer?
Same method - use the Open button to navigate to the folder and file in question.
Can't seem to be able to set the file paths for chitin.key on this - it crashes on clicking any button after giving me the prompt to do so.
For 1.69, try installing in the utils folder - IIRC it will then find everything without having to set a path to the key file (documentation is feeble so I might be wrong). For EE refer to post #10 in which case chitin.key is not the file you need.
Extremely useful.
Brilliant!
Oh my god, i cannot even express how SUPER USEFUL this program is!
THANK YOU!!!

The upgrade to 1.83 is great. Being able to search for stuff is something I always missed in the old version.
There is still something I miss. Why it isn't possible to copy some snippets from the ascii view to the clipboard?
@virusman - I took the liberty of copying the latest information to the top of the project description.

I'm using version 1.83 from github. This is an excellent tool & it's helping me understand the data structures of the game. Thanks for working on & maintaining it, @virusman.
