The CharacterBuildCalculator is an Excel Sheet that allows you to create builds very fast and easily. You just select your race, your class (or classes) and the order of leveling. Then the CBC calculates at which level you gain a feat (regular/bonus) and what class feats you get. Also the CBC calculates your hitpoints, your BAB, your attacks/round, your saving throws, skill points, spell casting, bard song and many more things. Finally the CBC generates a text output of your build ready to post everywhere you like.
The CBC covers races (feats, skill points, ability modifiers), hitpoints (constitution bonus, toughness, epic toughness), BAB, attacks/round, feats (regular, bonus, class, feat prequisites), saving throws (CON/DEX/WIS modifiers, feats), skill point selection (forbidden skills, cross-class skills, class skills) bonus skill points (human, INT modifier).
If there are any mistakes or if you have an idea for improvements let me know.
CBC v2.84 uploaded: Bug fixing (Arcane spell casting: highest class gets Pale Master bonuses, AB calculation: rapiers are not finessable for halflings/gnomes). Thanks to Aquarius 233 for pointing this out to me!
CBC v2.841 uploaded. Optional feature: AC calculation takes into account the intended fighting style (or at least tries to). If 2-handed AB > 1-handed AB no shield AC is added. If char has Ambidexterity and TWF, no shield AC is added. If char has ranger dualwield feat (but not Ambidexterity+TWF) and off-hand weapon AB (w.o. penalties) = 1-handed AB, no shield AC is added and no medium/heavy armor AC is added.
CBC v2.842 uploaded: Bug fixing (no shield AC when using 2-handed weapon)

Please note that for users of older versions of Excel that had been compatible with earlier versions of the CBC, a 37Mb conversion package is required to use this version.
MS compatibility package download is currently available here (193) (also converts MS Word and Powerpoint to digest the latest versions, respectively).
Your link isn't working anymore, well it isn't for me anyways.
Search the internet for the Microsoft Office Compatibility Package. I'm sure you can get it somewhere else.
Thanks for the link HipMaestro :).
Apparently, there is a subtle gliche in the CBC calculations in regards to assassin's poison saves. It has been unearthed by Mick Dagger on the ECB forum here. I haven't verified this myself but trust in Mick's evaluation.
Hello HipMaestro, thanks for the info, but I don't know what the bug actually is. In the CBC the poison save bonus stops at level 12 (+6). That info is taken from the cls_feat_asasin.2da file.
[edit]Okay, I guess I know what the bug is. I got the POISON_SAVE_EPIC feat wrong as it gives the bonus not just once but on levels 14, 16, 18, ... as well.[/edit]
A minor error to pass on, Kamiryn...
The little class synopsis box in rows 46-50 shows the prereq for PDK to be "Ride 1" in error. However the calculator itself correctly applies the value "Ride 2". It's no biggie but I had to check the wiki to figure out why PDK was staying red even when I appeared to have met all the metrics. I've used that class so few times, the prereqs are not fresh in my memory.
Others have been getting caught by the same PDK prereq error and insist to me that they can't make a legal PDK using the CBC until I explain to just ignore the class prereqs and stick to the wiki to get that information. A shame. It seemed a nice shortcut.
Also, you should probably add spaces in the title because even I forget there is nothing called "Character Build Calculator" loaded to the Vault and wondered why I can't find it anymore.
Thanks for the reminder ;). I will make an update soon.
New version 2.8383 uploaded: assassin posion save bug fixed, PDK ride prereq fixed.
I'm not sure how much bother it'd be, but it would be nice to get it in .ods form for people who don't use Microsoft Office (I use open office) ... I've tried converting it on some sites but they either generate an error, or, when you get the file back it's corrupt and won't open. Or maybe online as a google document or something, but I've never really used those.
Edit: I managed to get it open by downloading LibreOffice (seems like it's similiar to OpenOffice) but while the pulldown box for race works, for classes the only options are '0', so something is awry there and naturally it breaks everything else.
Edit 2: I ended up just pen and papering it then loading up a singleplayer game, boosting myself to 40 and checking that I could select all the feats when I thought I could, still might be handy to have another version of the sheet, but again probably not if that means it'd need to be reworked rather than just saving it under a different file format and uploading it as an alternative.
1st u must click on "Classes" cell in the 1st row (character sheet), then u must select them from the right side. After that "0" transforms in classes u choosed.
LibreOffice is a fork of OpenOffice. OpenOffice seems as though they have stopped working on it whereas LibreOffice still gets updates.

I've uploaded a new version of the CBC. In this version two bugs Aquarius 233 pointed out to me were fixed.
- pale masters give their bonus to the highest arcane spell caster class (in case there are more than one) and not to the class that was highest when the first pale master level was taken. In case the two classes have the same level the second class gets the bonus. For this to work properly in CBC the first class in CBC really has to be the starting class.
- rapiers are not finessable for halflings and gnomes as it's a two-handed weapon for them.
Two other issues pointed out by Aquarius are not fixed/changed yet:
- Resist Energy prerequisite calculation is wrong (and complex). Not sure if this will ever be corrected but definitely not before beamdog fixes some issues regarding RDD level-ups.
- Maximum AC calculation does not take into account the preferred fighting style (dualwield, two-handed weapon). So it's really the maximum AC and perhaps not the AC when using the preferred weapon. Not quite sure if I should change this as it's not always possible to correctly guess the intended fighting style (which feats should prevent shield feat / medium armor feat / heavy armor feat from going into calculation).
Any feedback is appreciated.
