A patch to give real, fully-functional, in-engine spellbooks to the Harper Scout, Assassin and Blackguard!
Beamdog has added something that has been wished-for in NWN since nearly the beginning! It is now possible to create new spellcasting classes. Built into NWN already are three Prestige Classes that, per D&D 3e rules, have their own spellbooks: Harper Scout, Assassin, and Blackguard. NWN used a hacky method of providing some of this flavor. Each class got a handful of spells that could be used as Spell-Like-Abilities, like the Blackguard's Contagion or the Harper's Cat's Grace.
This pack gets rid of the workaround Bioware used. It provides all three classes with their own spellbooks. I tried to stay fairly close to the Pen-and-Paper rules, but in order to make the spellbooks useful, I added a few spells to each class. The end result is that all three classes have a great range of utility added.
---- IMPORTANT ----
Works with v1.80 Build 8193.9.
Note on override: Any module that uses its own classes.2da or spells.2da files will not work. This includes the premium module Wyvern Crown of Cormyr and the popular Aielund Saga. In some modules it may appear to work, but you will not be able to select spells. For these modules, you will need to remove the override.

This looks awesome!Gonna try it.
Nice work! How did you deal with the Harper's Craft Item? Did you just leave it as a feat? Or did you give them Brew Potion Feat at Harper 5?
Also, have you made any considerations about Palemasters and RDDs getting some kind of spell progression? While BD gave us the tools to do so, I don't believe they are going to go father than that (but I could be mistaken).
1) I didn't change Craft Harper Item. I wanted to keep this as simple as possible. It doesn't change feat.2da. It's probably very plausible to change it.
2) It's not possible to give PrC spell progression in-engine with a couple of small 2da hacks. Beamdog would need to implement such a change, which is feedback a lot of people have provided (including myself.) They may or may not take that up in a future build.
3) While it wasn't intentional, Pale Master work with Assassin. It "works" with Harper Scout too, but the same as it would work with Bard or Sorcerer.
