This is a combination mod of RDG (Random Dungeon Generator/Undermountain)version 9 and Henchmen Agency. It's a continually changing dungeon as Undermountain is known for, lots of items, crafting is included as well. Best played in a party, it gets tough hence the addition of the henchmen... You can enter the Agency through a side door and purchase a henchman summoning ring for 2500gp. It has 3 uses, each time will summon your choice of a story henchman. Each use of the ring will also cost 2500gp! Makes playing alone a little easier with some help ;) Enjoy! |

Nice items and henchmen, but no direction or story.
This is Dungeons and Dragons. The story is emergent, as Crom intended.
The "direction" in Dungeons and Dragons is whatever path you forge on your own. This module was clearly intended to be played by a party, with the presence of a Dungeon Master, all of whom create the story during play.
I know. A lot of modules have these great stories. And that's cool. I have even played some of them and had a lot of fun. But the original intent for the game was to let the story happen as the game is played.
I'm giving this thing a 10 for hitting the proper old-school feel. Nicely done.
Pretty boring actually, with most areas sparse to say the least, and few monsters. The henchperson interface was good, as I like to outfit them my way! But the repetitiveness of the areas and propensity to flash you back to the start without your henchman if you so much as touch a highlighted item, is a bit offputting. Some may like this one, not me.
