Updated version of the original Ultima IV Reborn by Devi. Original description by Devi: "This is as faithful a reproduction of one of my all-time favorite games, Ultima IV, as I was able to make." This update fixes several bugs, and makes several gameplay improvements, most based on users' feedback. The original version can be found here. NOTICE: This mod is still in beta. It needs some tweaking to the gameplay, specially to the respawn and gold generation. |

Score is for the amount of work that went into this module. There were many areas, mostly overlarge, virtually no gear to be found or bought. The dialog with NPCs was the same four questions basically, with some variation sometimes in answers and options. The henchperson interface was very poor, allowing for no equipping and no real conversation choices. On the plus side there was very fast leveling, and lots of gold to be had as virtually every monster dropped lots of GP. Also no respawning occurred, which was nice. The quest and subquests were very hard to figure out and were spread amongst several disparate areas usually. Frustrating to find a shrine for instance, and then not be able to interact with it because you do not know what to do or have the requisite items or procedures.
Well constructed but I did not like the storyline or lack thereof. Not very tightly put together, you might say, with little to no direction.
