NB! OLD DEMO OF THE ADVENTURE. THIS IS NOW OUTDATED AND WILL BE REMOVED.
Tupilak
A small carved figurine... or an evil spirit if you adhere to the old meaning of the word. Also the title and subject of your last school essay, the cover of which is a photo of the Tupilak your aunt and uncle gave to you.
3 weeks after getting your A on the essay, you recieved a call from your teacher. One of his friends, a professor of Anthropology at Copenhagen University, wants to meet with you about a proposition.
You went to the meeting together with your parents. The professor was apparently very impressed with your essay and had showed it to collegues doing research in Greenland concerning Tupilaks. They had
"Decided to invite you to visit them and see the work they are doing at DGF
Please bring your Tupilak with you.
The university will cover your expenses, of course."
Not an everyday offer.
So... here you are. In a window seat on Air Greenland GL781, destination Kangerlussuaq, Greenland.
Next to you sits Professor Rolf Gilberg, busy playing Minecraft on his phone...
(DGF translates to approximately "Danish Greenlandic Research Company").
NB! Must be played with one of the 2 included characters (Anna Sofia / Emil)
Author: Paphjort
About me: Danish guy, who's been building on/off since 2002, mostly adventures DM'ed by me, but have made a couple of adventures that don't requiere DM, mostly for friends or my kids. Only 2 are here on the vault.
This is an adventure I originally made in danish for my kids. I've now made an english translation of it. This is only the first part of the adventure, but I will translate and release the rest of it if there is interest. This part sets the scene, doesn't have a lot of action, but there is more action in the rest of the adventure...
Please see the readme. Using nwshader is recommended.I haven't tried uploading here before, so I hope everything is in order. :-)
All feedback is welcome!
Update: 24 feb. 2017: 1 hour after uploading it... discovered a few lines of dialogue that had not been translated and a camera error in a cutscene. All corrected now.

Sweet, a new D20 Modern module at last! Definitely giving this one a try!
Me too!!! Sweet!
EDIT:
Okay I'm playing through. It keeps crashing, but I'm not sure if that just on my end.
I really like the work you've done with the cutscenes. Very cool!
Getting a sense that something very bad is going to happen! ;)
Kudos on the fine work!
I still haven't tried NWShader. I will
Just finished the intro. Nicely done. I especially liked the unique setting and the extra touches you took to communicate it, like the radio transmission in the office lobby. Also, I was pretty blown away by the "arcade game"
My strongest criticism at this point is that the characters aren't fleshed out enough for me to care about them yet. I found myself skipping through dialogue pretty quickly because everything being said was rather flat and colorless, although this may be because English is not the author's first language. From the premise, it does sound like there's room for these characters to grow in future episodes.
Eager to see where you take this setting with future modules.
@ABJECT_SELF and Dartanbeck, Thank you both for feedback.
@Dartanbeck: Thanks for your comments. I hope the crashes stopped? It doesn't crash for me (except once or twice during testing when I enter DGF for the first time), but this is the first mod with d20 Modern 2.1 I've played, so it could be related to that? I'll look into that.
NWshader: it's used for the first cutscene and it generally makes the game look better, blurring things in the distance etc. It's used more later in the game, where it is strongly recommended to have :-)
@ABJECT_SELF: Also thanks for your comments. I have an idea for the other arcade game, which will maybe make it into the game as well. :-)
Good point about the characters, I'll look into moving some of the later background/flavor dialogue forward to the intro, so that you earlier int he game can learn more about the characters.
Har du stadig den danske version? :D
