Description | |
The Village of Hommlet has grown up around a crossroads in a woodland. Once far from any important activity, it became embroiled in the struggle between gods and demons when the Temple of Elemental Evil arose but a few leagues away. Luckily for its inhabitants, the Temple and its evil hordes were destroyed a decade ago, but the sinister force thought long destroyed, stirs from the black hole that spawn it. Like an ebony darkness, it prowls the lands and safety is but an illusion, for it watches from a shadow, and ponders the possibilities. |

played from old vault
not bad if you like over leveling as I got the same x.p. for a kill at level6 as at level 1
This one is not bad. Nothing fancy, just a recreation of the classic T1 module. It does have the feel of a PnP. I played through with 1.69 and CEP 2.65 and did not find any bugs. It says it was updated in 2009, though it is clearly a circa 2003 module.
I agree with the poster above, it levels quick and the XP does not change. All in all and enjoyable few hours. It does seem as thought the author did intend to continue the series.
The author clearly put some long hours into this module.
This should be called the Moat House because that is what it is all about. No Temple to be found, although it is discussed. Hench interface was good, but supporting even two helpers with the very limited gear to be bought or found in this one is tough! Did get the quest to complete, which was nice.
Played this one long ago and could not remember the module name. Found it again after consulting the "heroic tier" that I find very useful.
Used a level 2 fighter which leveled till level 7. Fights where well balanced with a slight difficulty. No way instructing Elmo into switching from ranged to melee (he just kept on charging) but noticed the nice interface since by giving Elmo some money he could use some resurrection scrolls (didn't test it away, though).
Still I found something going wrong. Even by resting in a safe place (a room in the The Welcome Wench Inn) I found "something magical damaging me at the end of rest (56 points of magical damage...). i am sure I brought some rations with me as well.
Nice mod anyway
