Awesome GoT adaptation!
Thanks, glad you enjoyed it! The content made by the community are the real stars!
Do you strip items and limit levels upon entry?
L1 to start. Items, yes and no. Yes, gets stripped right away, but no, it stays in the same area, in a crate called 'your things' - just in case
Gonna take item strip out of my mods, since it seems to interfere with horse-riding.
If you strip skin out of PC(invisible equipped item) it do messes up riding, as Bioware 1.69 horses use that skin.
Very well done! And I am not even a GoT fan (haven't read the books nor seen the show).
But really enjoyed this module from start to finish. Like the rough language, the gritty atmosphere, the interesting companions. Thought everything was very well done. Nice twist at the end too.
Hope you do more mod's. Either continue this one or make another NWN module at some point. Thanks again for posting and for your efforts in creating this!
Thanks for the kind words, menatv ! Feel free to play my other mods too. If you have any creative ideas regarding improvements, feel free to email 'em to me.
Take Care,

I am at the 2nd floor of the tower where the leader of the good team wants us to find the commander of the baddies.
Where do I find this commander?
outside of the tower (one of two exits from tower)
Not sure why the whytes are immortal.
I hope Udasu continues this once at the very end there's a traitor.
You are supposed to strike them with the weapon provide, I believe it to be well explained.
That's rediculous, it makes the purpose of a cleric completey useless for their turn undead ability.
Oh well, it was still good.
..it is based on lore from the books. If I am not wrong then there are no dnd clerics in westeros..
Westeros is magic low, but the presence of dragons wakes magic back up. Clerics don't turn undead, but they've been known to do resurrection.
Darn, I used a cleric in hopes I can blaze through it.
Scary though if there could be a script to ressurect the undead if turned.
They resurrect the just died, not the undead.
I used the stone of recall, but there does not seem to be any way to return back to where I used it.
Am I missing something?
Many thanks for any help.
Solved this problem. The portal and at least one other placeable was not visible due to a conflict with another mod that put placeables.2da in the overrides. I got rid of that and everything worked fine again.
Thought I would post my findings in case it helps anyone else.
I would make sure you don't have any .2das in override overwriting stuff (you can compare .2das with 1.69 .2das).
Thanks for the info.
I don't see any .2das from 1.69 - are there some that are expected?
There is a spells_level.2da in Overrides from the latest CPP Patch beta, which doesn't seem to have caused any issues.
1.69 2das are not in override - I have them in a zip callad something like "1.69 2da source", but it might be something I had downloaded separately long time ago.
EDIT: but since you don't have those 2das in overide folder you should be good to go :)
Yes - I have that file as well - didn't look in the NWN folder for a zipped file.
Also, seems that my Installer Tool has mapped .2da extension files to Portraits by default (I can't remember why I thought that was where they went) instead of the Override folder (although there were specific .2da files that are defined to be placed in Override) - will fix that in the next release.
Many thanks for your help
Many thanks for this mod - very enjoyable.
This is nice!
A very well made module featuring Wildlands Winter tileset, which is apparently ideal for northern areas of Westeros (GOT region). There is an interesting plot, combat is amusingly harsh and the fact the world is far from being magic-abundant adds a realistic feel. There is also some henchmen-related interaction involved and the overall, morally heavy climate is palpable throughout the whole gameplay. Pity there is no follow up. Although I have never watched GOT, I woud be inclined to believe a genuine GOT climate is preserved here. A bit too short, hence 9/10 points. \
Udasu, your modules seem to be really well made an interesting, I am now moving on to Accursed Tower (wow, Ten Towns and Icewind Dale!) and Lankhmar Nights. Btw. an idea for you: maybe one day you could think of making a longer, Aielund- Swordflight- or Dance-With-Rogues-like saga? If you like creating modules based on games, literature or movies, I am sure there would be plenty of inspiration (I personally love "Betrayal at Krondor" game and "Knights of the Cross" novel by Polish writer H. Sienkiewicz).
Thanks Greg, I appreciate the kind words! I wish I had more time to mod. I have several half-finished ones (Waterdeep, Dragonlance, Slave Lords Saga, etc.). It's great that the community keeps putting out great content - it really is inspiring. Take care, and have fun playing TAT. BTW, I have a new version I'm adding today!
Cheers,
U
Have this queue up to play. I tried the other A Song of Ice and Fire NWN module by a different module author a few years ago and found it compelling but I ended up borking the entire quest progression due to doing something out of order. For me, it's all about NOT experiencing game-breaking bugs. I'm a huge fan of George R.R. Martin's world-building.
Very well done. A great story, showing off some fine custom content to best effect.
Personally, as a GOT fan, I find this gameworld much more familiar, intuitive and immersive than the standard D&D settings. The module really captures the pervasive sense of jeopardy and betrayal. Gameplay tweaks for lore specifics (e.g. dragonglass) are nicely executed.
Thanks Proleric, I appreciate the kind words. Creatively, it really was inspired by that community content. Glad you enjoyed it!
Neat story with quite a bit of fanservice. It was nice to revisit the setting, and I liked how the module put the CCC to use. Thanks for sharing your creation and also for putting a spotlight on other custom creator's work!
A couple of observations:
- A lot of conversations trigger automatically, bearing the risk of getting aborted when you're surprised by it and misclick somewhere at the same time, or if hostiles are close by and attack; if that happens, sometimes you can't get the conversation to trigger another time and have to reload. Quite a few conversations also ended automatically without waiting for an input, so that I was not always able to read the last words quickly enough before they were gone. Thankfully, there's still the log in the text window.
- I played as a fighter on Normal difficulty. At level 1, before you get a certain item, traps and encounters can be quite brutal, and at some spots I had to reload and retry several times. After you get that item though, it all becomes a bit too easy, since you don't just get free resurrection but also free resting and healing every time you want to. It's fine since the module was mostly story-oriented, just made combat a little less exciting.
- If you use that special item "somewhere", you can get trapped there.
Thanks for the feedback, I'll use your qa to make the experience better for future players.
Latest version is up. Fixed reported issues, added another henchman. A few more add-ons.
I was quite pleasantly surprised by this. I didn't expect much going in other than fanservice, but this was actually a very faithful hommage. Only now I read the name of the author - I should have known, Udasu, your work is always of reliable quality. Thank you for a great winter module!
Isewein, thanks for the kind words and vote. This was made when the GOT fans defintiely felt different about the franchise than they do now... Be well, Happy 2021 -u
