KINGS ARE NOT ELECTED - You made a very public example of what happens to your enemies when you slew King Rathmann, and with his death it seems that there are none left alive who wish to challenge your authority. However, just three months after the Stoneheart's death all is not well in the Kingdom of Great Platicus. Queen Wu Jan's Seers speak of a dark time ahead when the air will fill with poison for you and the very earth beneath your feet will burn with each cursed step. They speak of a crown that will call a great Terror, and of the end of The Call for Heroes. - You will enjoy the game a lot more if you play a male fighter. - (The voice acting and some plot situations assume a male.)
ACFH4 is an intense, heavy combat RPG. If you don't like combat adventures (hack and slash), you should probably pass. This is a mod for seasoned professionals who want to experience a high level war in NWN. An optional, equipped PC 'Menelaus Strongbow' is enclosed.
COSMETIC BUG IN THE GOOD ENDING - SOMETIMES AN ADDITIONAL FOLLOWER WILL SPAWN IN THE SECOND TO LAST AREA OF THE GOOD ENDING. IF YOU SEE TWO VERSIONS OF YOUR FOLLOWER, IGNORE THE NEW ONE, YOU WILL HAVE NO PROBLEMS.

Note #1: Restoring this series - almost lost by the community after over ten (10!) long years since excluding it from the old nwvault - was possible thanks to Werelynx, Dallo and... the Wayback Machine (web.archive.org).
Note #2: Perhaps there is someone, who has a more recent version of any of the modules (ACFH 1-4), if so - please send me a message or write about it in the 'Comments' section below, and we'll soon find a way to make an update.

This mod is a headache because it was not all hack and slash. However, it gets a full 10 vote from me because there are people who will tolerate that and it's compensated by both graphics and music.
I have played through Part 3, and this is truly a work of art! There are so many areas and things to do that I am sure I missed many side quests. You do need a powerful character indeed. The henchman interface was very usable, and you can outfit your partner pretty well. they also have more complicated dialog. I chose the Rogue chick and she was constantly using up all her shurikens. You can replace these, but it is a bit reptitive and time consuming.
The inability to either bash or have the rogue pick locks was a bit off putting. Not enough to ruin the whole module set, but I have never seen the constart Knock charms needed like this before. And the relocking doors caused one to really burn though the charms in some areas! You could easily get locked into an area and not be able to get out, if your henchie was not with you! and you ran out of Knock!
The many items that you have to transport with you, seemingly until the end, take up a lot of backpack space, too much. The same goes for the documents that you collect. I had 4 extra packs and still ran out of room several times, and there are some areas with no way to sell your items. A fair amount of unique and interesting gear, so you hate to leave things behind, but you must I think!
I did not really need or want the Fortress or Baba Yaga's hut. Too much complication I feel. Still, this was a great effort and loads of fun! Try it!
I am gearing up to play the 4th chapter. Wish me luck!
Grand Kudos, Aulslime, for this quad of playable and connected modules.
I thought these were Four of the Best modules I've experienced in NWN1...!
That's saying a LOT.
Many modules have had, shall I say, less than memorable stories, plots, and encounters.
This set of adventures will stick with me for years, and were quite engaging, fun, and thought-provoking both during and after gameplay.
Continuity of storyline throughout was maintained quite well; I felt very immersed within the story.
The story builds from humble beginnings,
adds important History via Books that relate to one's experience traveling through the lands and adventures,
finally meeting and engaging with the Historical Personas built up through those Histories,
until...
A Great Finale' for a multiple-module epic campaign, through-and-through...!
Didn't have any technical problems once all resources were in right places;
Didn't experience any memorable glitches during gameplay.
Played with a single MALE character, with many skills, as a triple-classed Fighter-Rogue-Monk ("the usual" for me), and they fit seamlessly perfect for my play-style.
Well Done, Aulslime: Hail To Thee!
