Description | |
After vanquishing the Yuan Ti cult on Ajit-Kahn, you soar on the back of a griffin into Cormyr, a once-proud kingdom now ravaged by war. Cut off from all aid and left searching for the means to reassemble the Cursed Three, a slow realization dawns that all is not as simple as it seems. Factions from the planes and beyond move against you, enemies more powerful than those invented in your darkest nightmare… all eager to see their greatest general reborn. You must act quickly against all comers, for time grows short. High in a ruined tower set into a remote, wind-swept peak, rituals upon which hang the fate of Faerun will be performed. But will they be rituals of rebirth or of abolition… of renewed life or of utter devastation? A continuation of chapters 1, 2, 3, and 4. For characters level 7 to 8. May advance as high as 10th level. |

See series comment.
Note that one of the portals is a point of no return, without warning, so it's wise to save before travelling, then check that you can easily get back.
Also, unlike the rest of the series, there are inconsequential side quests that are easily missed.
Very nice!
Game crashes when I try to speak and do business with the Purple Dragon Quartermaster. Oh well, I'll try to sell my "loot" somewhere else.
I really felt like I was in the Hive and a good story butthe low x.p./gold/magic does not work in the Realms
A tremendous undertaking and well worth the 10 star rating. One of the things that I did not like is the lack of equipment throughout the series and the lack of XP from very tough encounters, but that is the design of this module set. Tiberius209, I salute your efforts, they were truly outstanding!
Decided to play this series coming off of "Shadows of Darkmoon" and it was quite a shock! If you have not played SoD, well worth the time but it is a very different game than this one. This series is the complete opposite with its low treasure/low magic approach. I agree with Proleric's comments, when you settle into the low magic/low treasure, it presents an interesting challenge that is really enjoyable.
The series starts off a bit slow but Chapters 2-5 are all exceptional. I don't really care whether the game is linear or open ended at the end of the day just tell me a good tale. This series tells a good story. While individual chapters may be slightly less, the series taken as a whole is 9.5 for me.
Tiberius: Hats off you to you for your very hard work on this series, I really enjoyed it!
