You plunge into the Shadow Door as Undrentide falls from the skies once again, knowing that it is your only hope for survival. You step out of the portal and are relieved to find yourself in the former lair of the Shadow Lich. You hear someone shouting through the portal behind you! You are knocked to the ground and blinded by a flash of light as you turn towards the sound. You slip into unconsciousness. My bridge module between Shadows of Undrentide and Hordes of the Underdark for the Pre-HoTU contest. No Hak-Paks needed. Updated to Alpha 0.20 on Nov 25, 2003 (1:45 AM) |

This was a bunch of errand running... not for me.
1. Fate of SoU Companions: explained, additional bonus - their levels can be customized, unfortunately no mischa (+0.6)
2. Given Relic of the Reaper: YES, albeit does not look like one (+0.35)
3. Unique use items: power stone - only haste works, mirror is taken on module start (-0.25)
4. Ends in Waterdeep: ends on road to it (+0.5)
5. Ending level(should be at least 15, but since I finished SoU at 13th.. I will accept 16th): 16th (+0.25)
Final Vote: 7+1.45=8.45=8
Fights were pretty tough, especially those with constant blinding, had to use almost all traps I have gotten in SoU/
bugs/qa:
- wrong loadscreens for nodes and others
- could use newer cc: i.e. for salamanders or barbed devils
- neutral shadovar use AoE against me and my hench which prompts hench to engage in slaughter. Thankfully I was able to lure my hench and shadovar toward enemy.. hench's death means nothing to them either (no faction reset)
- killed balor and took his head but pit fiend does not acknowledge it.. if you try to back from deal or end conversation prematurely he attacks
- you can report multiple times the closing of portals to the TRUMPet* angel
*did Jason (builder) knew something back in 2003? Is he a part of illuminati? I can see several triangles in the screenshot.. and the name of module - planar suggest 2d structure.. like a triangle!
Interesting story and module areas. I ran into the final Hell area not allowing me to open the last door, so it just stopped there. Frustrating. Had various groups that I didn't know what to do with. Pretty good effort, I would say.
Got through it this time with some better gear and PC to play with. Stores were pretty poor, the so-called Armor and Weapons merchant just had weapons, and the Temple of Shar had nothing really! Still, all worked and this was an interesting tale. Glad to help the little guys...
