Description: A single player module designed primarily for young children. (My five year old daughter is very interested in NWN. Since I couldn’t find an appropriate module for her, I made one myself.) Find the missing dragon, rescue Cody, collect her allowance, and find hidden gems. Content Rating: G This module was developed for my five year old daughter. There is no violence or weapons of any kind. The cast of characters does include a skeleton, a giant beetle, and a giant spider. **Note: to ensure that the player cannot inadvertently (or intentionally) attack NPCs, please set the game’s difficulty level to normal or lower. If I can find a way to avoid this problem without adjusting the difficulty level, I will update the modules accordingly. ** **Note: This has been corrected in version 1.0.1 (currently available) All areas are set to no PvP regardless of the difficulty setting.** Character: I recommend that you use a halfling or gnome (for the desired diminutive stature). Level and class are irrelevant as no special skills or spells are required. Furthermore, no experience is gained for completing the various quests. That said, playing a wizard can be fun because they can summon familiars and cast cantrips. There are three versions of the module. 1. Missing Dragon (v1.0.2): This is the original version that was personalized for my own daughter (Fiona). If you play this version, I recommend that you either use the character provided or another female character named Fiona. The use of any other name could result in an identity crisis. The use of a male character could result in an inadequate wardrobe. This module can be customized for your own child. Please see Missing Dragon Tips.rtf for suggestions and instructions. 2. Missing Dragon G (v1.0.2): This version has been tailored for female players (with respect to wardrobe and henchman). No specific player name is required. 3. Missing Dragon B (v1.0.2): This version has been tailored for male players (with respect to wardrobe and henchman). No specific player name is required. Special Features: Look for a usable easel, writing desk, oven, and food items as well as usable mounts. If you would like to customize this module for your own child, please see the Missing Dragon Tips file for suggestions and instructions. This file was last updated on May 6, 2007. Using Horses: There are two classes of horses in the module: horses that you own and horses that you don't presently own. At the start of the game, you own the two horses in your barn and you may purchase any of the horses at the stables in the village. You may only mount a horse that you own. One of the options in the conversation file for a horse in your possession is “mount horse”. Selecting this option will cause you to mount the horse. If your henchman is present and there is another horse in your possession present, they will mount too. Upon mounting, a dismount token will appear in your inventory. To dismount, use the token. This will cause you and your henchman to dismount. Selecting the conversation option “send horse home” will send the horse to your barn. To purchase a horse from the stables, go to the stables office and speak with Varia. If you have at least 25gp, you will have the option of purchasing a horse. If you purchase a horse, you will receive a receipt. Take the receipt to the stables barn and engage a horse in conversation. If there is a receipt in your possession, one of the options will be “purchase horse.” Update October 30, 2008: Uploaded Images. Update May 29, 2009: Added a re-mastered version of the original module by Barry_1066. This version requires only CEP v2.2 and includes a number of enhancements to improve the look and feel of the game. |

I was looking to see if this was here - yey - it made it. I do think even more improvemants could be made but i did not spend all the time I could have on it - The author was appreciative.
As a one time teacher, before i went on to be a professor, i know how much such adventures mean to children, and I enjoyed working on it and playing it (strictly to test it *crosses fingers*) Really - *nose grows as pants catch fire* awk.
If you want some basic entertainment - this one is worth looking into - why I agreed to work on it when I did.
this will part of a Christmas present for my 6 year old niece this year. and a computer with a copy of NWN Diamond, of course.
Thank you so much for this module. My 8-year-old granddaughter loved it, especially after I tweaked it to her as you recommended in the readme file. It was a great introduction to NWN, and especially as there are very very few young kids modules for this game. It's greatly appreciated.
