Tried the Life vs Death With Instructions version and it was interesting to saythe least. You HAVE to level up to 14, after being stripped completely, to move forward through the portal. You are given 91000 GP which is woefully inadequate when you see all the cool stuff you can buy! I initially had a problem with gaining feats in weapons that I did not know would be avialable, since you do this when completely stripped in the first area! But the good news is that there are a whole bunch of items you can buy in all sorts of categories, so cheat in some gold and go to it!
I think that is what happened next, as the game suddenly sent me to a campground unbidden and then when I tried to click on something it crashed. Perhaps it was aware of my perfidy! Did this twice so maybe you have to stay within the GP limits in order to progress? Instead, I chose to stock up on cool custom stuff and then save my character. I may use him in another adventure, but did not keep going with this mod. It may be good, just never had the chance to try it out! I may start this once more and stay within the limits this time, although it really limits you with the GP given!
This is very evidently a strictly PVP endeavor and is empty when you take the portals after selecting your gear. I stayed within the 91K GP limit and was able to move around, just nothing to do. I still think that the item selection is extraordinary if you want to just equip your PC and then save and sign off!
