After defeating the evil Death Viper the land of Kyria was peaceful for a time. But once again an evil menace has invaded the land of Kyria. The evil Death Ghould has taken up residence in an abandoned castle and his minions have attacked some of the rural villages. The existance of Kyria itself is now threatened. Death Ghould has stolen the Golden Axe for it's place of safe keeping. With the Golden Axe in Death Ghould's possession he has been able to recruit a large army of evil minotaurs to his cause. The poor villagers and towns people of Kyria cry out for a hero to help them rid the land of this new so called 'Emporer'. Your goal is to destroy the vile Death Ghould and his minions, rescue the Golden Axe, and return the land of Kyria to peace once again. |

I loved this module, and the first one in the series too! Just as the first one accurately (with only some minor liberties) re-creates the experience of playing the arcade version of Golden Axe, this one does the same for the old Genesis game Golden Axe II (as opposed to the arcade sequel, which was a different game entirely and not the one this game reimagines). The Battle Chess game was not quite my thing, but this one and the first Legend of the Golden Axe rock, roll, and rumble as proper Golden Axe games should. Try it only if you're a fan of the franchise, not if you're looking for anything deep here! *Wink* ;)
9/10 is an objective rating if you try this one out due to nostalgia with Adlib/midi soundtrack from YouTube:)
I agree with Lilura: this is how you make a linear hack n slash. It is simple and fun!
I played a 13th level Rogue and with 1.69 and CEP 2.4. I did not experience any bugs in this very short module. Even though its linear and short it does have a couple of unique things about it.
It is a fun, linear module you can burn 45 minutes on.
I give this one an 7.
The same mistakes that the first one had, and it's worse that the first one.
