Description | |
The player begins in a town called Mikkersville. There they will find a typical array of small town worries. As the party ventures beyond Mikkersville, more of the story will begin to unfold. You can expect towns, cities and wild lands (both tamed and untamed). But there remains a sinister being behind the mysteries within the land of Sif. Most of the residents have been content to live in this realm which had its ties severed with the outside lands years ago. Some residents have only recently arrived to the kingdom, having been drawn in by a mysterious force, unable to leave themselves. You have recently been feeling lost, even in lands familiar to you. Perhaps you are strong enough to resist these feelings. Perhaps you will be drawn into the Kingdom of Sif. |

This mod was fantastic. We started out as two level 1's and ended up at level 16. Everything was balanced and there were no glaring spelling errors. The story was surprisingly unique and we had a great time making our characters fit in. Save often cos there are one or two game ending surprises ;) Or use DM console to get out of there. The only critisims I have are purely cosmetic. I hate when the loading screen tells me I'm going into a desert and it's a cave. Every load screen was off, comically in some places. Also some of the loot had duplicate +1 str or +1 AC mods. They don't stack. The critters respawn points were a little close for comfort in some places, but there was a lot of coin to be made, so we were well prepared to handle it. I'd highly recommend this mod.
Thanks for your comment, NWNJade. I see that I have to give it a try then. :)
Suprisingly: the Kingdom of Sif page still exists! http://www.realmofzorcon.com/KingdomofSif.html
Some extra stories - as well as the map of the kingdom - can be found there.
Maybe we ought to copy that before it goes down. ;)
The Wayback Machine already has the snapshots of the site and all its pages. :)
You're welcome! Sorry it took so long to respond.
ps. also forgot to vote, doing so now!!
Very linear story with wide annoying areas that you have to go through and no exit after you completed a quest... The things I wanna rant about the Moodule. But combat-wise it is ok and THE STORY ITSELF IS SUPERB... I give it 10 because the writer knows what he is doing.
This is a very nice module
Brilliant module, very enjoyable adventure, with tons of H&S and interesting areas to explore. Lots of gear available in shops, but no OP custom content, cool main story, and tons of freedom of choice for your next step of adventuring. I'd love to encounter some more quests personally, or maybe more merchants scattered around the areas, so that I won't have to backtrack through areas so often. The enemies respawn after the character has ventured a few area transisions away, so I was feeling relatively overpowered after all my trips to sell my loot, and also it could get repetitive after a bit. However, it's really hard to nail a small MMO size world with no DM, the creator did a really great job!!
A fun module. I am now at Castor for the second time, he says he has created a portal for me, but I cannot find it anywhere! Is this the end of the mod? Areas were interesting, a lot of repetitive travel. the use of a Stone of Recall would have been a nice touch. Still, a good effort to say the least...
Hi everybody,
Very good mod but backtracking, monsters respawning all the time, excessive loot and the risk of going to places before due time sometimes annoy. I've been stuck at Castor's place exactly as Nails. But, non sense, the door behind Castor can be bashed. I found out because I've tried. How can the player think about that? The portal is there, behind the door. My problem now is to find Chrimistan. I looked for him in every room and corner of Loviatar, up and down. Does anybody knows where he is supposed to be? Otherwise, the end. Thanks in advance.
I tried to find a Save game from that time period but they only go back to 5-19. Sorry that I cannot give further feedback, but pretty sure I just went on to a new mod after getting stuck!
