Josmuna Module - By kunglek This module consists of over 100 areas. The story deals with a war between The Tower Wizards and the Black Rose Elves. There is benefit to becoming a Paladin, a Red Dragon Disciple or a Rogue. The Start area is the Board of Josmuna. From here, the player can access all the main paths through to the other areas. Be sure to speak with the welcomer and visit Ar'tyl in the Josmuna Inn to get your free guidebook to the realms. There is a lot here to look at and play with. |

Very nice work here. This was a very large sweeping adventure, with a fairly muddled main quest. I was not able to complete the Toran Orb one, even though I had picked it up along the way! No henchpersons, and little good gear that you could find dropped or in chests. Some Rogue skills would be useful for the PC. There were merchants that had some nice stuff, but it was expensive. No big deal if you cheat in the gold(!) but if you play straight and earn your way, you will never get some of this necessary equipment. Weapons up to +6, not a lot of damage bonuses. Armor was a bit sparse until one point in the game. Many different areas to cover and some were absolutely huge (Giants Mountains). There was respawn to contend with in some areas, but I have to commend the author on his use of map pins! Yay!
It was a bit hard to navigate through this thing, and I did not finish the mod, just quit when I was killed by the Uber Minotaur. I had done pretty much all the other areas, I think. One thing that bugged me was that the main theme in this thing was to become a Paladin. Because you need to be Lawful Good, I was excluded from this pursuit as I used my usual Chaotic Good fighter PC. I think that this overly restrictive aspect needs to be adjusted, so anyone who is good could enter in and become a member of the guild.
BTW- this module does a complete strip, but but as I said, if you bring along some coin you can come up with fairly nice gear, potions and spells. I did not find any haste or regen items until late in the game, so handle this as you can. A whole lot of trekking will seem endless without Hasted characters!
