Description | |
This mod is part four of 'The Infernal Crown,' a four-module campaign set in the Forgotten Realms. It is intended for single-player use with first level characters. You begin the campaign as a member of a secret society of vigilantes, whose motto is 'evil unto evil' (think Dirty Harry or the Punisher), so your character should be evil or neutral in alignment (lawful evil is ideal). Humans, Half-Elves, and Half-Orcs are ideal choices for character races. Dwarves, elves, halflings, and gnomes are not recommended. Single-class wizards, sorcerors, and rogues may have a tough time with the module, but henchmen are available to help you. No Hak-Paks are required. The Shadows of Undrentide and Hordes of the Underdark expansion pack are both required to play this campaign (older SOU-only versions are available on my website). |

Loving this series. Having a little trouble getting through the teleporters (the ones activated by phrases from the poem). Any suggestions?
Cancel the above. I did it the hard way by mapping out every result. On to the next chapter!
Not a bad finish even tho you really should be at Epic levels for what you have to fight(they should be able to wipe out anything under level 18 with ease)
I've reduced my rating for this series as a whole. I was not okay with killing the kid to start things off. then the little rat kids was a downer. Now I am asked to kill all sorts of innocent elves! Not my thing, being a bad guy. But, the modules were well done, the story was okay (not sure why you had to be as evil or worse than the baddies!) and the combat was fun. The descent into evil is what got to me and I bailed in this 4th installment. Too bad. Probably would have awarded 9 stars if not for that aspect of it.
This campaign has many good elements, although it has too many repetitive battles, lacks realism (doing things at just over level 10 that even someone with the power of Elminster himself would find hard...) and has some nasty, game-breaking bugs at crucial stages. I found a "solution" (console force-open) for the broken Skull Door. However, I couldn't get through the door that was supposed to lead to the Infernal Crown. There seems to be no way of interacting with the nearby Rune Stone, none of the items taken from the guardians do anything to door or stone and searching the area thoroughly many times confirmed nothing had been missed/left behind. And sadly there are no clues or solutions available. Quite frustrating after spending a week or two working my way through this campaign.
You need to stock up in the end of chapter 3, there's no merchant in this one.And the changed hench-system is annoying, dead henches get up as NPC, get killed again and vanish...i haven't found any key that works so far.But the fights are pretty bad a++, i'll play some more before i vote.
