Description | |
CIMMERIAN CONQUEST by MikeLM9215 Having returned to your home and reeked revenge on those who murdered your family, you are looking for someplace to conquer and call your own. You hear there is a hidden enclave of wizards controlling a strange world beyond the Misty Hills and Hardtock. You go to seek your destiny. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- Cimmerian Conquest takes place in R.E. Howard's Hyboria in the country of Cimmeria. The player should start out as a 20th-25th level or higher character with at least 1 level of barbarian. A party of 2-4 should start no lower than 15th level. This is a hack and slash module. NOTE: This module uses ALL of the Hyborian Module Campaign (HMC) Hakpacks. v1.01 - Remove gate transition and replace with ground transition outside of wizards' tower. From certain camera angles hard to get through door without transitioning back where you came from. | |

Had not finished the module - too much backtracking and overall blandness.
- typos(in conversation, if not prompted otherwise): ". they" - Elf Mage(Hardtock); "theses" - dark naga; "galled" - Earth Construct description;
- 2 female sellers in hardtock interior have male voicesets
- wood pile in the starting area has no use
- two magic items from beholder turns out to be just one magic item
- no way to kill quitil if you have accepted both quests
- 2 beholders in the cave remain neutral after I have killed all of their eye-friends
- fungus king is silent after giving his quest
- you can steal fom gold dragons hoard and they don't care
- pygmys are neutral
- for some reason brass dragons don't like (Im chaotic good and the rest of metallic dragons like me :) )
- bahamut desc. says sth abou CHROMATIC dragons
- lots and lots of backtracking
- you have to again attack neutral creature to resolve dragon's quest
- what are white abishai doing near bahamut :/?
- pile of skulls in cave of necro-snake does nothing
- couldn't find bahamut's enemy
- after killing tiamat I got Lith/little key, but other "key_holders" won't talk to me to allow me to take theirs.. maybe I should attack neutral again? :/
- door speaks to me that I already found a key and apparently the module is broken
- if id rop the key conversation with the door is deiffernt
- water flickers in plane of water (maybe use tileet instead of placeable water or vary the z-axis of water)
- if I talk to elementals after finishing the riddle, journal udates wrongly saying sth about me disposing of them
- bookshelves and book piles in wizards keep has no use
- griffon has wrong portrait

Very different from the previous three parts, which in turn were not similar to each other. In this one you enter a familiar area, your home, but then you leave it and end up in a strange series of areas with extremely easy monsters and some small quests that made no sense. I quit after doing about 10 areas and not feeling it. Too bad. Not sure how any of these modules are "Cimmerian" as the name suggests. Just having Crom as a deity is part of it, yes, but not a major component of being like Conan!
